Are they asking you to bake or something Rabbit?

Everyone keeps asking me if I am going to attend our annual holiday party tonight.....I'm looking forward to a nice dinner, some good conversation and an episode of Scandal, not drunken co-workers singing Christmas carols.

First it was cube decorating. Then it was making food for next Friday. Now it's Secret Santa stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Christmas. But I don't live Christmas for an entire month like some people do. I like it low key. And some people just can't accept that and won't stop bugging me about it...even after a stern death-stare.

If one more person here at work bugs me about something Christmas related, I'm taking a can of gasoline and a match to this place.

Funnily enough I had a dream last night that I set a petrol can on fire somehow, but then it kinda turned into an LPG cannister/ bomb... My dad was in the dream, so I asked him how I could put it out, but he said you just have to let them burn themselves out or explode, so stand back... Freudian?

Oh, what are you going to wear PR??! 😛

Hugs PR! Hope it's a letting go in a good way? It's so hard to ever know though, but if it needs to be done...?!

Kia kaha- be good/ be strong- Maori phrase.

I officially hate 2013, have never felt so sorry for myself and its absolutely pitiful!

I welcome the hug, thank you. I guess that thread about rebirth was right on time, because I am hitting that phase. Seems you need a hug in return . Good thing it's almost over. What bumming you out?

Thank the sweet babay jebus its almost over, but I think that is where the pressure is coming from...

I know I need to make some changes in my life, but I just don't know where to start... Actually, I do- I'm procrastinating. I need to get my CV up to date and look for an exciting new job.
And I have been doing bridesmaidenly duties and stuffs for the wedding and I guess it makes me miss the ex... or think about him more... or just feel a little lonely??

But enough of my moaning and groaning- I have a lot to be thankful for, so I should focus on that!

What about you? Whats the thing(s) you are letting go of?

P.S. love that song, Pink has a great voice!

Yes, I really enjoy her.

People, past issues, old habits and just my overall way of "being" (cryptic enough for ya?--I don't mean to be). Some basic superficial stuff as well. I am trying to address my overall approach and level of acceptance of self and others---. I've already begun the process last month, without really knowing how far I would take it. I have no regrets and I am really looking forward to where this will take me.

As far as how you are feeling right now, it may be the combination of the stuff you mentioned. I am sure you're happy for your friend, but I would be surprised if the whole process of preparing for a big event like a wedding and all that it symbolizes didn't trigger your own feelings.

Your post made me immediately think of a monthly horoscope post I read for Scorps yesterday. A little late in the month to reading it, but I was actually looking up info on the new moon since it's in my moon. Anyway, It seem to be addressing many of the things I've been thinking about/pondering lately.

Thanks lady! That is me in a blooming nutshell!

Mars in Libra will complete what is called a —Grand Cross?? with Uranus in Aries, Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Cancer. The bottom line is that this position can accelerate the already powerful changes that have been set into motion and emphasize a feeling of opposing energies. Between now and July 26th, 2014, everyone may feel pulled between the past and future and have difficulty making a decision or taking steps forward.
You could feel as if you are having an existential crisis and long to make meaningful changes to your life. This type of soul searching can be right up your alley but, when it feels like you??re not in control, it can stir up some of your biggest fears. Look for the things you can take charge of now such as your time, the company you keep and the thoughts you choose to accept. Then, try to relax and allow things to unfold without trying to hurry the process or know exactly what will happen.
Uranus will be in your 6th house of daily work, health and wellness which can stir up feelings of boredom and restlessness in these areas of your life. You can leverage this antsy energy to make positive changes such as finding a more fulfilling job or breaking free from unhealthy habits. Although you may consider making some radical changes, try to incorporate gradual, sustainable action steps.

I am so looking forward to the wedding! It'll be a great day, all the friends and being glamorous!

I have to try and keep the negative thoughts under wraps: around the feeling that I haven't got that area of my life sorted. Think its my Taurus moon... Its like there is a checklist and I haven't checked this part off...?
Its such a big/ little thing... if you know what I mean?
I hate going to wedding/ xmas etc... and having people say "but you're such a lovely/ sweet/ beautiful girl etc... I can't believe you're STILL single" meh...

How is that big old gem moon treating you? Are you extra super talkative??! 😄

Yes that was one section that stood out the most for me as well for similar reasons. *epic eye roll* at Between now and July 26th, 2014, everyone may feel pulled between the past and future and have difficulty making a decision or taking steps forward. That's a long freaking time got dammit!...but then of course I must remember to: "try to relax and allow things to unfold without trying to hurry the process or know exactly what will happen". Something I need to learn to do regardless of the "Grand Cross" or whatever the stars are saying.

Not so much. Actually the opposite. I am quite scattered, easily distracted and I'm find that I am getting restless/bored quite easily.

Trying to keep the thoughts of complex issues/past/unsettled things to a minimum. I just want to "be" after months (actually years) of over thinking EVERYTHING. I seem to be doing a good job at it so far.

As for the negative feeling, I'm not sure if you journal or blog (anonymously), but you may find it helpful to let loose there where you can rant unedited and just disregard it after. it's a nice way to purge, otherwise it stores up and appears in ways you'd rather it didn't (unconscious/conscious actions, words, "Freudian slips")--just speaking from experience.

I have moments of tranquil plodding acceptance, then I want to throw things, then I start biting my fingernails with worry that this is my big chance/ moment and I'm going to fu@k it up/ miss it.

You might be right about the blog/ journal... That is DXP in a way! And my bestie- Aries- gave me a journal when work was just frantic and I couldn't fight my way out of a plastic bag... I'm a bit lazy though, and by the time I get round to something I'm usually distracted by something shiney and never finish it properly (you've probably noticed that about some of my posts!)

I just have to do something about my CV, and focus on a new job- baby steps!

Totally hear you on the restlessness thing though! Do you have much planned across xmas and NY?

Don't you hate it when you bite the inside of your cheek and then you KEEP biting it!!!!!!!! I've done it twice in the last hour...

Gawd yes! And it is an instant flash-back to my teenage years and wearing braces, and the excruciating agony of the shredded insides of your cheeks that you keep catching!!!

Or stubbing your toe- I have the same major tantrum whenever I do that too...

For a second I read NY as New York--I was like "how did she know I was going to NY? Did I mention it?" So to answer your question, this is what I am doing for the Christmas, but I'll be back for NYE.

You? Will you still be with friends for the NY?

I don't stub my toe often, but I seem to walk into walls and tumble up stairs () all the time. My ex use to always laugh at me because he says my clumsiness doesn't match my overall presentation. Once, we were waiting for the light to change and I simply fell over standing there. I swear my heel was caught, but he thinks I'm just clumsy. *shrug*, it's part of my charm

hehe- cute!

I very rarely stub my toe, or cut myself in the kitchen etc... but lately I'm a total clutz! I nearly dropped a big heavy staple gun on my own damn head yesterday! I think it's just end of the year tiredness etc... I need sun to recharge my batteries- sitting on the beach with a good book sounds just the ticket!

BUT OMG! JEALOUS!!! NYC on NYE!!! That sounds so fabulous!!! One day I'll make it to New York! How far away is it from toronto?

I have the big wedding, so will be all dressed up great gatsby style s and dancing the night away with all my favourite peeps! Spoilt 🙂

I drive above the speed limit, with limited stops so 7+ hours--but for any rational person obeying the law, about 9+ hours. I just pop in my tunes and sing very loudly, muttering to myself about how crazy some people are as they pass me.

That wedding sounds like it will be so. much. fun. Enjoy and just shake off the blues on the dance floor. A good book on a beach does sound like a definite cure, especially considering the fact that we got 4+ inches of snow last night and it's snowing again tonight (or the wind is blowing a lot of the snow around, I can't tell). *sigh* I am not looking forward to shoveling.....

A white Christmas for you! Is it always a white christmas in toronto—?

yeah, I'll be good as gold on the day- I'm a bit of a social butterfly, its when I'm home by myself and start to dwell on things!

but in good news I got some new curly hair shampoo, conditioner and a curl quencher thing yesterday so I'm going to see if that lifts my spirits tonight 😛 extreme girliness usually does!

Not always, but it's always a cold Christmas. 8-10 inches of snow? That must have been "fun".

NYE will be solo this year. I'll be there for Christmas. I use to spend it with my ex in NY ever since '99. My childhood is a bit tricky. I lived in NY when I was a baby and through childhood and moved back and forth then finally just stayed put in Canada. Most of my family lives there and various parts of the US.

weird! ^^ 😄

I got a cut and colour last night... the colour is so dark its almost black, and thank god, I've have inches cut off, but think I'll chop off more in the new year!!!

So close before the wedding? Don't you know you should never change your hair days before a big event just in case you hate it. It's a good thing you like it. Show me! Show me! I wanna see it.

Its more of a trim, but I was just so sick of how much there was!! I've been growing it for a year and it was down to my waist! and it was getting too dry... You know what its like when you are so good for so long and then you just decide f'ck it- enough, and in this case chop!! A bit naughty...

I have a plan to drastically whittle it away in the new year!

I'll try take a good photo tonight to show you 😄

The Scorp is pissed at me right now because he called me 4 times whilst I was making dinner and I did not answer because I did not hear the phone.

I finally saw that he called- I called him.

He tells me he's gonna be late because of the weather.

I say, "Oh, well be careful."

He's like, "Whatever. I will be home soon."
I ask if I did something wrong, he tells me I should've warned him about the weather.

Can he not see that it's snowing outside?
*sigh*.
