elena, please help me understand this as I know it's not the best way to communicate feelings but I really don't see how different he could have said it if in person? I wanted him to have the chance to think about what I said that's why I wrote to him.

abbeyness: i think to be fair to him that he's probably being very honest. you mention that you decided after a year to tell him how you felt so presumably for this time, he hasn't known of your feelings. the silence on the emotional part of your relationship gave him the platform to set up the 'filter' he mentioned.

it's not over till the fat lady sings though 🙂

I'm pissed about the friendship bullshit! after 1 year of travelling hours to see each other during weekends, great sex, holidays together...he calls it friendship

Oh Roxanne you always cheer me up🙂 Hope you are doing well🙂 At least the crazy packing i been doing the last few days has helped taking my mind off things..

abbeyness: well, he admitted that he put a filter on his feelings but now he knows how you feel, once your circumstances are more settled, perhaps things will change. before i moved, i felt so unsettled and insecure and it's so much to do with leaving your comfort zone and going into the unknown. fear of change and all that blah. your feelings really CAN'T be trusted at the moment, least of all by yourself.

i hope the move is as positive for you as mine has been for me btw.

sorry about your situation. as difficult as it is it should be done face to face as suggested. you can be totally romantic and get on a plane and fly over to him and surprise him🙂 oh...happy romantic thoughts🙂

"I personally think that you are a bit worried about the move and I would not necessary trust your feelings at the moment. Once in HK you may see things differently."

I think he is in love with you but afraid he is going to get hurt. I don't think he wants to committ which is why he started seeing you in the first place knowing that you were going to move so he wouldn't have to worry about anything serious. You were safe. A guy doesn't spend every weekend with you for a year though if there are no feelings. My guess is that he is a little upset at you for telling him your feelings and then leaving him. He doesn't even believe that you really have feelings. He thinks you are just scared. Wait until he has some time away from you and goes out with a couple of other girls. I bet he will be begging you to come back. I may just be an optimist, but I see a lot of hope here.

Oh also, stay friends with him. Don't cut off communication with him because you are hurt. Just tell him that you don't want to lose his friendship. Always keep the door open for him so that he can come back if he wants. Hopefully you will still want him by the time he realizes that he wants you 😉

"can you two have a "goodbye" drink before you go? just a "friendly"
kinda something so you can read his eyes a little? Would he go for that?"

Yes, show up looking really hot. (look like you didn't try to look hot on purpose though) Then tell him it would be just too painful to sleep with him again and leave him wanting more after kissing on him for about an hour. LOL!!

Thanks Aries&Gslove, I find it so hard to say it face to face, i was really nervous about the whole thing and i had the terrifying images of myself burst out laughing in the middle of "I LOOOVVHAHAHA....!!" That would be worse..

I hear what you're saying FA, funny he actually has Aries moon. Someone once told me that a Scorp with Aries moon wants lot of independence and is afraid of commitment...I think I need to let him go..

He did insist on taking me to the airport but I told him not to...that would mean for him to drive 8 hours in total on a week night(as i'm staying thurs night at a hotel in the airport), I would feel really bad for him to do that. That's the thing Gslove, he couldn't take his hands off me whenever we're together and now he's calling it a friendship. Maybe what he's really saying is friendship with good sex.

I think you should let him take you to the aiport. It will hit home that you are really leaving when he sees you step onto that plane. Poor guy!! It will be a long 8 hour drive back with plenty of time to think about you.

let him take you to the airport. excellent idea. you will feel a whole lot better leaving with something tangible rather than as things are now. it's easier to look hot on the way to the airport rather than after a long flight too.

the thing is, I always look hot everytime he saw me. Other man stare at me when we go out together and he has told me many times too, so no matter how hot i look i don't think it'll make a difference.

Personally I think you're a bitch for posting his message for everyone to see. If I was sending romantic e-mails and what not to my girlfriend, I sure as hell wouldn't want her re-posting them on a message board for opinions.
