Read that again! Scorpio's are so honest but word things awkwardly. He told you he likes you soooo much that he deleted his dating profile. He's giving you the choice to accept this and stay or leave. Us girls expect this fabricated movie love when that isn't really how things will go. So we tend to misread what guys tell us. I'm guilty of it and I feel bad when I get emotional over nothing or a perfect answer I didn't read well. Try to reread things to avoid that. Then again, that still doesn't work until days later ?.

He has already vanished once and I enver expected to hear again. Maybe he didnt find anyone else he liked.

Whether he did or did not delete is irrelevant IME.
The only thing that matters is that he's seeking to manipulate a reaction from you instead of allowing your relationship to evolve organically.
I can see his mind working by reading his choice of words and how he's essentially prodding you for a response.
He sounds emotionally immature.

I see what you mean. They do tend to keep you on a string until they get their emotions straight. Please play it safe. Let me tell you, after my scorp gave me the option to be fwb or platonic...I picked platonic and he's still there for me. The thing is that this guy said I'm his soul mate on fb because I said something funny and my scorp friend got jealous and liked another funny post I put (mind u, he barely likes my posts). He thinks I didn't notice but I did lol. Play his game. Be friends with other guys but have a safety net so if he questions you about it, then your hands are clean. If you don't want the mind games, it is best for you to move on.

I did. He saw my face when he said I can keep dating. He said although we are compatible I may find someone more compatible.
He is also horrendously busy at work. All the time. Evenings weekends you name it. He just doesnt have the time.
