The 'conventionality' of Scorpio woman

Are you conventional - how would you describe your conventionality? What is Scorpionic conventionality all about? How can it be described?

What exactly is conventional? That is a very subjective term.

You asked on the Libra board if Scorpios were as conventional as Capricorns... If you are referring to the "stick in the mud" and neurotically pragmatic syndrome of a few (most) Caps, then I would have to say not quite...

I think Scorpios pragmatism / realism can be boiled down to strategic matters. As for following the norms of the society, it would probably depend on how logical and intelligent the society is. I like to do things that make freaking sense, that fact may or may not necessarily be compatible with the collective intelligence, and thus norms, of society.

I can't think of anymore ways you might be referring to conventionality. Can you be more specific in what you are looking for?

Alcheme in Queen S's post in the Libra section "basically old fashioned." Your response may allude to Scorpio contemp for societal norms?

I am conventional in that I always wanted to be a wife and mother -- I think in most Scorp females the drive for a mate and children is strong.

Conventionally nurturing...my quest for knowledge somewhat tied into a need for security...

Inconventional in my perceptions of life, my independance.

It is not contempt for societal norms. Personally, it is contempt for acceptance on the sole basis that it is a societal norm. If it makes sense to me, then I will accept it, if it does not, then not. I am not a rebel or a follower, I am merely a person with a mind of my own that chooses to listen to it.

Basically old fashioned? Hmmm... Again subjective. Personally, I am nurturing, though not necessarily the homemaker (or mommy) type. I place great value on manners and respect, but have no problem forgoing them depending on the needs of the situation (or people in them). I value a strong and dominant and intelligent man, but I am independant and do not necessarily "submit" as most would think of it. I have a mind of my own capable of making my own decisions and choices, and no man, woman, or society will take that from me.

No "Scorpio mommy" here... Don't have kids, and probably won't. I would have to meet a really kick ass man to balance out my severely lacking maternal instinct before I would ever even consider it...
