The idea that someone can almost shed their skin in a way, stripping away what they no longer need or have outgrown so that they might reemerge renewed or as a more true, evolved version of themselves is a fascinating one. Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever experienced this kind of personal transformation? How did you change? Was there something in your life that prompted the event or did you just find yourself changing over time? Was it more mental, emotional, spiritual? What kind of emotional state(s) did you experience during your evolution? When/How did you know it was beginning/ending? What did life feel like afterward as opposed to how it was before? Were there other parts of your life outside of yourself affected by your changing?

I should have quoted this in my reply.

Such detailed responses 😛

I was going to just "+1" your post, so that's something. I think I've expressed how I've changed or transformed on various threads in bits and pieces throughout my time here. I do like the topic/questions of the thread, but lately, the environments been too hostile for engaging dialogue or to disclose anything personal, so I say meh. Ain't nobody got time for that anymore.

Much like rabbit, i came to a point where I needed to pull my socks up... I wasn't happy and nothing external was going to help that...

The process wasn't fast, but I gradually changed my attitude, understanding and expectations of others, physical appearance and some bad habits that I had gathered over the years.

Most of my friends commented on what a big change it was- largely based on the physical- but a number of the more intuitive ones said that I'd changed my personality so radically that they found it hard to believe.

Funnily enough I don't think I'd changed that much... what I felt is that I owned me more honestly. I wasn't making excuses for other peoples behaviour, or taking their crap on board- I'd developed a take it or leave it approach but no longer censored myself if I was engaged with the subject... Fewer interactions perhaps- but the quality of them vastly improved.

My next challenge is to find my niche in the workplace... oh, and perhaps even a worthy adversary- ahem- I mean, partner!

Well, you know, your responses just raise more questions for me.
I'm not a Scorp yet I have also experienced significant transformation in my life, emotionally, spiritually and mentally.
I've also picked myself up from personal lows, rock bottom, much like the phoenix rising. I suspect if you talk to enough people there will be individuals from all signs who have had their own unique transformations and rebirths. Maybe for NON Scorpio Suns we could correlate Pluto | 8th House aspects to explain their personal experiences, or, maybe not.

I also wondered about this and meant to add it (or some version of it) as a question, but got distracted. I also wonder about those with Scorp placements and their experience.

So, if individuals of other Sun signs can experience all of or some of the above, in full or varying degrees, what are the reasons for associating them specifically with Scorpio Sun individuals? As they are written in just about all astrological texts.

I truly don't have the answer, but I question if it's was ever meant to be understood as though it is a trait that is exclusive to Scorps. Perhaps it speaks more to the Scorp??s willingness (and eagerness in some cases) to fully embraced the experience more so than other Sun signs. Similar to the description of Crabs being nurturers. It something that comes as natural as breathing for you, but I don't think Crabs are the only Sun sign that have the ability to nurture or be self-sacrificing.

Could it be spiritual karma or soul path growth to experience these aspects on a fundamental level?

I don't completely follow this question, can you elaborate please.

This is why I asked the question, do you strongly identify with these energies...How profound is it, how deep does it go?

Some of them yes. Much of the time in a very subtle way, but on the rare occasion in very powerful ways--I simply don't label them as such. Truthfully. I don't think I have ever, even when reflecting or journalling thought of something or identified it as a rebirth/destructive/new beginning etc in the moment... It just occurs. It was an experience to be embraced and accepted "as is" and just move through it or not and deal with the consequences. I found that when I resisted the signs telling me it was time to —change?? that it was made all the more painful for me, because change was inevitable. It wasn't going to stop, let me gather my bearings while I pondered my options just because I was 12 or because I was sick, or whatever life handed me. Who cares if I am ready or not—and even in that was a lesson. Every time I thought "I can't do this", my ability to get through it proved otherwise. Change is going to happen with or without my consent, so I could make it hard or easier on myself.
con't....

Once I learned that (still bumping my head here and there though 😛), I began to embrace the concept of "letting go" (—death??) and starting over ("rebirth")--even though I was already doing it, just in the most painfully way possible.

I think what makes it appear different for a Scorp is the fact that when we do realize —this is inevitable?? and embrace change, we pretty much go full force. We don't half ass it to make it more comfortable for ourselves or others (aka —destructive??). We wipe the slate clean and start anew. We don't keep bits and pieces of what was. It is seen as "cold", but we can and will let go of people/places/things, where others struggle with that. When I share bits of my life or experience with people I often have people ask me "how were you able to do (fill in the blanks)? I could never...." and response is usually, "I just did".

During the course of a typical scorp, he/she wil undergo several periods of their life where they will be forced by circumstances to completely deconstruct themselves or their lives and then start the process of reconstructing. It feels like life has conspired to bring you to your lowest point--oh wait just when you thought it couldn't get any lower, it does. It feels like karmic payback, it entails reaching freaking rock bottom, rolling around in the deep is part of the process. It's pretty much close to hell on earth. Pluto is a bitch.

Then evolution and learned lessons and stronger self.

It's cyclical.

*nods*

I can understand that.

Yes. I became a great person because of my transformation. I'm not sure if I can call it a transformation because the person I am now was always in existence. Before the transformation I was an emotionally weak and spineless person. Something in my life prompted the event. Life was great after the transformation. I felt that my true self had arrived. Any other questions can be sent to my inbox.

I'm a Libra Sun with Scorpio Venus. I've always found it easier to just cut off/end/walk away...cut and dry. I've never understood where that came from until now. It's not a normal Libra trait. Right now I'm having an internal battle with myself. When a relationship ends, I disappear. The Cancer I was involved with asked that we remain friends. I thought about it, and somewhat reluctantly agreed. Now it has become an every day struggle for me emotionally. THIS is exactly why I normally just walk away. It hurts like hell at first but the emotional pain subsides so much quicker allowing me to move on. I know this friendship will end, but crazily do not feel ready at the moment. This feels very self destructive.
