Venus In Scorpio...

Do you find yourself being mean to people you're attracted to? Not like downright confrontational type of mean but more like a sarcastic, snarky, maybe a little waspish. I know the guy I like is bi and that he likes me but he seems put off by my "flirting style " you could say. It's he like appears to like it but hate it all at the same time, and I just don't know how to "play nice" when feeling so strongly about something or someone. He's been nice to me this whole time and I've been sort of a dick. I have no idea where this is going. Are you this way too? If so, how do you deal with it?

I thought you said he had Venus in Scorpio? According to what you posted, it's stated as being in Libra.

Anyway. To answer your question as a Scorp Venus, myself. No I wouldn't say it makes me any snarkier or sarcastic than I already am. I wouldn't say that's my trademark or how I approach people, to begin with. I'm usually pretty nice..... Believe it or not. I try to be at least. I don't think that placement is indicative of someone's mode of communication. I'd say that's more of a Mercury placement. Or even Mars, but not so much what Venus is motivated by.

My Mercury is conjunct Pluto in Sagittarius. And yes it rules communication, but I don't think we can assign all types of communication to Mercury. Venus rules over attraction and how we behave, go about it, or "communicate" it. Same with Mars, it can communicate something through its actions. The only reason I can think of as to why you are rather nice is because Venus in Scorpio might be your only Scorpio planet and/or is being overridden by a strong Venus/Libra influence in your chart. Correct me if I'm wrong.

When I like someone, I try to be kind, loyal... but yes, sometimes i am described as "mean" and "aggressive." I joke with them but it doesn't come off as that, they think I'm making fun of them!

I remember I was drawing with my crush, mine was a lot better drawn, but his was still amazing. I was an asshole and started joking with how much better mine is and was mocking him, and he looked defeated. 😢

This is spot on. I think some of us may be doing this unconsciously when we want to have a profound impact on someone. My Mars conjuncts my Venus so I tend to be a lot meaner than your typical Venus in Scorpio.

And yes, that is EXACTLY IT!! It's like i'm trying to get them to like me and to put an effect on them, but I think sometimes it works and sometimes does just the opposite.

I just laughed, because I remembered this one time...
This little girl in my preschool did not like my crush. He would come in to visit and she made a comment to me that she doesn't like him and his hair is weird.
So one day when I was making snack for the children, he crept up behind me and was watching me. I was thinking, okay, now is my chance. I turned around, and blurted out what the little girl said, turned away while smirking. He just stood there and everyone started laughing at him. It was funny but I don't know why the hell I did that. And I'm not really sorry either.

Wow, I do stuff like that too... all the time. Sometimes I think I should tone it down, then I think, if someone can't handle how I am then maybe he is not the right person for me, and then I'm like, I don't care if he's right or wrong for me, I want what I want! Meh... I don't mean to scare the birds I'm trying to snare but I can't help testing them by ...being my usual myself.

Yes, I feel that way too. But see, I am told that I am too soft for my own good, I've been told by several people. So I think, okay then, I will show them how much I adore them/ I can be rude and not nice all the time, and other times it is an unconscious type if thing to get a rise out of them. So when I say these cruel things people are surprised and think I don't like them.
So I think that as well, that I should tone it down. So then I try to compliment them, by what they are wearing, saying their hair is nice, etc.
I don't think that we should have to tone it down though, screw that, just make sure that they know you like them and are just trying to get a rise out of them.

Yes, haha. I should let them know, but then I always end up remaining a mystery and not because I want to appear interesting (I do at the beginning but even that has a limit) but because I don't like them to know what makes me tick. It's sort of like a power thing I guess.

I mean that's natural for a Scorpio, you want to remain a mystery and don't want others to figure out your weaknesses. But, if you like someone, you need to open up to them, and let them know at least one of your weaknesses. It was hard for me to do this, it was a HUGE weakness. I couldn't ever say it in person, either. It was through text. But he understood me more after I told him and I think respected me more too.

You can just say simply, "I just joke with you because I like you" you don't have to tell him about it being a defense mechanism for staying mysterious and hiding weaknesses

Yep, my sense of humor/flirting style with the one I like tends to be snarky and sarcastic. It could definitely come off as mean to some but I don't think Venus in Scorpio has ever been known to be the 'nice' or 'sweet' type anyways. Lol.

Just realized I know quite a few in real life 🙂

I don't think I'm a dick to people I feel strongly about unless I am stupid enough to develop expectations of how they should be and how they should treat me which pretty much happens every time 🙂

Yeah, precisely. His chart is heavy plutonic on top of the fire. He needed a mars who wouldn't be in aries or scorpio. The rest can be managed, either one of those mars placements would light a match on the volatile emotions.It's over the top for that chart. The upside would be a good poker face and a tight grip on emotions if he can master that. At least his sun is fire but mutable..if it was Leo..oh boy. At odds constantly.

Aries Moon by itself can completely overtake a chart. I get what you're saying on that. My Pisces friend has an Aries Moon..we're in sync whenever we meet. But the vibe we project is entirely different. He still has that Pisces softness to him..while I come off as aggressive. Aggressively nagging? Idk.

However, everything in his OP talks about how he acts and not how he feels. It's not his venus, it's his mars. He's describing actions, not emotions.
