What colour would you associate with passion

I know this topic is going to eventually turn into a banter cafe..but here goes..

I associate it with black..Everytime I think passion, I think dark..weird, destructive colours..Imagine a scene..shackles, death, destruction/violence, dark make up, dark clothes..Almost goth like..

Even if I see music videos of this kind..I will have to stop and record or just watch in awe...

What colour do you assocate with passion?..describe

The most obvious aspect of the colour black is the absence of light.

I have read on various websites that colour being associated with Scorps..blood I guess..Maroon is another..its associated with the whole mystery malarky..I like it as well..In London there is a shisha lounge that I attend regularly, so intricately designed and as you go downstairs by the windy staircase, at the bottom you have this boudoir decorated in that colour..its surreal..

deep purple or an earthy dark red ...and cobalt
a dark purple isnt a color you see anywhere very often... too deep for most. if i can give it representation, then for me it means life's transitions when you are thinking the most and most open to your own heart, mind and atmosphere. like a crashing mix of hot and cold.
dark blue/cobalt is just the color i've always associated with my emotions.

I think red would be a good color for passion so fiery and emotional you know , dunno though black is alright as well .

I want my bedroom in that colour..silks and middle eastern cushions and decor..with lanterns instead of light..drapes..oh man!..

i'm with jackdoniel, crimson describes passion perfectly for me.
deep purple as CreepyPants suggested sounds nice, but it looks more regal to me than passion. just my opinion.

I am feeling you there JD..Yep I am definitely a fan of the pastel colours..no bright shades for me..I have dusky blue in the bathroom (water, soothing) and cream in the lounge with shades of maroon and brown for the cushions etc..Huge gothicy mirror over the fireplace, Oak furniture. Love oak as it looks ancient..Natural wood flooring..anything ancient medieval..

I couldn't imagine the whole bedroom being crimson though..that would freak me out and would be too dark..so it has to be cream/magnolia with one accentuated wall in crimson..
