If she’s married to him, she may not have to testify against him in court however. I hope she does too but the chances of there not being a prenup is probably slim to none.

True. But she quietly submits to him, and then I have to hear everything she;s upset about and doesn't have the guts to say to him, which is quite literally everything about their entire relationship. Already told her many times I don't want to hear about it anymore.

Most Aqua women I know are codependent in their relationships at worst. Overly giving at best. Only independent aquas I know, became so after finally leaving behind years of abuse. Remember, their sun is in detriment. So their core personality struggles to shine and put themselves first.
The one aqua I dated, had dated almost only Pisces and Scorpio women. Aqua’s are a sensitive lot and seem to admire those who emote easily since they long to do so often times.
This isn’t surprising. It’s just that hades/Persephone dynamic at play that happens with a lot of Scorpios.
*also I’m not saying it’s right or a standard for Scorpio. I know a lot of gentle, kind and generous Scorpio men who would never be abusive. Ever. But I can see where and how this low vibe develops. In both signs. Scorpios thirst for control and aquas need to find emotional guidance. Both engage in this toxic power dynamic to avoid giving up control and being their own emotional strength, respectively.
I agree with this Elly, I don't observe the whole fierce independence thing going on at all. I see aqua's get fckd over and become victims more than anything else. Esp situations like in the OP, victims of water signs in relationships. I have a loaded 11th house, so I am surrounded by aqua's my entire life to notice these patterns.
Getting back on topic and the OP, what would this scorpio man actually have to do to this aqua woman for her to gather the self respect to walk away from this situation?

Obviously nothing. It’s as bad as it can get for her/them. I mean if being publicly humiliated isn’t bad enough per the leaked police statement given by her, the video of her running from him and putting her hands up because clearly she’s afraid while her father/brother stood there plus all the leaked DMs of his side pieces over the years they were together... absolutely nothing will keep her from walking away at this point.
I guess there’s more than meets the eye to the aqua women I know. Now that I think about it one is very successful on the outside but she did reveal to me that her husband is an abusive alcoholic who constantly berates her while she pretty much runs the ship with him just coasting on the sidelines.
