Bruh, the tension is real.
Especially for small nations like Croatia, in which honestly life isn't the easiest (~60% of EU income average iirc), corruption is everywhere, so when they get such a win mass euphoria sets in.
Players know all that, expectations of an entire nation on their shoulders, like a rock. It takes nerves of steel to step up to that last penalty, knowing if you miss you'll be the man that's blamed at least indirectly.
Although, i think if Croats were to loose, Modric would take the blame for missing the extra time penalty.
