Situation: You're at a social gathering. Mix of friends, co-workers, etc. Not too casual or anything business related. A person who you have a casual acquaintance with is passing out various kinds of flowers (1-3, not enough for a bouquet) along with small card.

They come to you and you and you receive the following:
Amaryllis- This flower is symbolic of splendid beauty. It is also used to indicate worth beyond beauty.
Anemone - on a darker note indicates fading hope and a feeling of having been forsaken. On a positive note it symbolizes anticipation.
Gardenia- symbolizes purity and sweetness. They indicate secret love. They convey joy. They tell the receiver you are lovely.

The card reads: "Your charm is more beautiful than all these flowers put together. Time with you feels the sweetest too my heart, too sweet to be given justice by these lips."

You also get this hidden inside the card:
Tulip- signifies a declaration of love. It also symbolizes fame and perfect love.

What is your reaction? Thoughts? How do you handle the situation?

Really? Flower symbolism? LOL...ok....

Um, depends on who is giving the note/flower. If she's not someone I'm into, I am going to ignore the whole situation. If she's someone I'd like to get to know, I'd act confused, ask her to explain what this card is all about, investigate to see who else got what, etc. I would definitely engage the person heavily and directly, with a lot of skepticism, to get to the bottom of it - do some flirting in the process.

Aww that's sweet. I wish I had someone like that. But you have known that person long enough maybe 3 months to do something like that special. But I like lilies and white roses. Or would ask you 21 questions about what you like and don't. If you have any allergies mainly.lol.. I won't be just walking up to some one and say hey this is for you. I don't even know these types of flowers, (keep it simple), where did you get them? And how much did it cost. Lol
