Yes, we "move on" too but the nice memories shared together in the ast are still part of our present. I am glad everything worked out 🙂

I check up on mine, well , one, but the sort of resentment I grew for her keeps me at bay. It makes it easy to let things be.
I guess loneliness and remembering the good times would make anyone question if the break up was worth it. I know I suffer a lot in break-ups, my poor heart can barely take it.
I do move on though. Or do my best to. But when I have met the right person, I know I am theirs forever. Which is what it feels like atm. Scary stuff.

My personal answer is: I feel I made my choices. I don't feel an ex is an ex for a reason. Especially since I can barely remember a LOT of details that once seemed important.
I feel it's a choice. Today I wake up and I decide to be without someone or I decide to go my own way, and them too.
But what I wonder is: if an ex is an ex for a reason, could we find out whether the average reasoning for most people is the same? Do people end relationships for similar reasons as eveyone else, or are the reasons more personal? And would that reason be sex? Are we that predictable?
These are just my thoughts.

To me, it has to do with personal reasons. If I am with someone and it is a 60/40 relationship, then there is no point in staying, as a mutual connection is not there, it is not solid, and it would be foolish to think it could eventually work. This is my logical side, my heart on the other hand always says to wait a bit, which I do, only to find out that my logical side was right. Those have been the basis of my breakups, I was far more interested than they were, well at least for my last case. Long distance too.
As for sex, I don't know, not until recent times I have began to have sex regularly. Interestingly enough, indulging in it has only caused me and my gf to become closer. I think that is what helped her fall in love with me actually, once we connected on that level.
