DXPnet! I go through phases where I binge watch a bunch of documentaries as a way to spark interest in a specific topic to further research.
I've just got done watching '13th' on Netflix and I went to the library and got the book 'The New Jim Crow.' I went to a community enrichment screening of a documentary called 'You Belong to Me,' and there was a post-screening discussion that sparked my interest in the topic of the United States prison system, modern slavery, and the mass incarceration of minorities.
Have any of you recently seen a documentary that you believe is worth watching. All suggestions are recommended (even those that come with a warning such as, "This is a false perspective on X topic but it is worth a watch to help you understand why Y group of people may think the way they do.")
Thank you!
