He's the only candidate I would vote for (out of the ones running. as all countries everywhere, we don't have awesome choice..just shitty ones or ..decent). Didn't even know about his chart until someone mentioned it.

There was a comment on buzzfeed that the book should end with him coming back and just casually walking past anyone and sitting on that throne.

Was reading some fan theories...some are canon already, other not so far fetched.

but one in particular sounds AWESOME to me (i am weird and i find ramsay bolton all kinds of wrong yet hot...but this theory takes care of his bad deeds too)

Roose Bolton is an undead creature who steals faces and nails them onto his own.

This theory, referred to as “Bolt-ON” (get it, he bolts them on) is only sort of a joke. The Bolton family preference for removing people’s skin is oddly specific, and lots of emphasis in the books in placed on how Roose Bolton never seems to age.

An extra-scary version of the Bolt-on theory says that Roose is keeping Ramsay around solely to harvest his skin.

It's not the slow pace, I have his Sun/Moon combo. It's the procrastination and how easily we lose focus like squirrels. If he powered it up, he would accomplish in a day what we would write in a month. If he feels no...passion would be the word, this will drag on forever. And to be fair, there's a lot of demands placed on him from every side of the equation...if he wasn't as succesfull no one would care. Also if HBO had picked the series after he finished writing them all. My main concern is he might die before the story is completed.

It does feel like we're all just a tad too selfish with him. He isn't a spring chicken after all.

Having said that he could work out a fucking schedule to put the procrastination at bay. There's also a lot of intricate details that need to be taken care of in various plotlines to make sense, it doesn't seem easy at all.

I would rather wait one more year than read some subpar work that only exists because he's fighting a deadline.

Also hated to see Oberyn Martell go. His single minded devotion to revenge for his sister and her kids touched my eeeeeeevil Scorpio moon heart. Totally understandable, and wish he would have taken out every one of the Lannisters before he went.

That is my favorite house out of all of them.

HOPING we can see the history of it in the new season. Honorable and driven people.

At least HBO did not disappoint in the casting for Oberyn Martel...actor played it exactly like I imagined it.

Likewise, getting very annoyed with HBO for departing so far from the plot line in the books this past season.
I read an article with the producers and they said that was the angle they were going all along, regardless of Martin ending the series on not.

It's supposed to be a DIFFERENT story than the books. Hopefully they will have the sense to end it the same way at least.

But yeah, I had so many "Wat?" moments while watching the series. This explains it.

Yep. He was amazing, the character in the books AND the actor... perfect.

Depending on the font, there are roughly 300 words per page in your average novel.

Figure 700 to 1,000 pages, we'll even go with the 1,000 figure here, since George R R Martin likes to write a long book.

That's 300 words x 1,000 pages = 300,000 words.

There are 60 minutes in every hour, 8 hours in an average Wester workday, 40 hours in the work week, and 2400 minutes in that work week.

300,000 words / 2400 minutes = 125 weeks

So that's 125 weeks, working only 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, LITERALLY TOUCH TYPING ONE FRIGGIN WORD PER MINUTE, that the jerk would have to put in to write a book.

... and he can't even keep up that pace. *growl* Very annoyed with him. Lazy bastard.

It's not a problem of writing it fast, it's linking all the plotlines together and being creative while doing it.

I feel for him. And then I remind myself that I would actually like to read this book finally and then I get annoyed.

I always go between extremes with him.

Oh, I understand what he has to contend with, that's a lot of pressure keeping a story like that going. Writers block is a bitch, and I don't know how much help a team can be in that case. My creativity has been stifled for years now, and I can't seem to finish my writings any more. If I had the kind of pressure he has on him I'd have a nervous breakdown. Hell, if in am going to draw something for somebody, I can't tell them about it until I finish it. If they ask me to draw them so ething, that's not gonna happen.

That will never work with that combo.

What WOULD work though considering we are so susceptible to emotional guilt trips "This little boy is dying and he just wants to read all the books...would you mind making a good gesture and writing faster? Only 6 months left"
