For any of you that are sexually active and having unprotected sex, this is an interesting read......apparently sperm is a contributing factor in causing cervical cancer😐

""Pre-cancerous changes and invasive cancer of the cervix are both caused by a combination of factors that are present in seminal fluid.

It has been known for many years that cervical cancer is extremely rare among nuns.

The chance of it developing rises with the number of sexual partners a woman has and the younger she is when she starts sexual activities.

Any woman can decrease her risk of developing cervical cancer by delaying sexual activity until she is older and then having a smear test once every three to five years.

The value of the smear test is to detect any pre-cancerous changes that precede cancer – by many years in most cases. The cervical smear test is a routine way of checking the health of the cervix.

Cells are taken from the cervix and examined to see if they show any abnormal changes.

The test is relatively easy to perform, taking just a few minutes and should not be uncomfortable for the woman if carried out correctly""

There's nothing in sperm that damages the cervix, just like there's nothing in breast milk that causes cancer (contrary to some vegan idiots). Otherwise, statistically and evolutionarily, humans would have died out as a species a long time ago.

What this is referring to is HPV, which virtually everyone will be infected with in some form or another at some time in their life, and can be transmitted by any skin to skin contact.

Sperm is risky to women who have developed pre cancerous cells, allegedly. Some women won't be aware of pre cancerous cells if they've missed their test

The breast milk thing is ridiculous....never heard that before🌝🌝

The article you read just sounds like a drunk wrote it. They should be strung up by their toes and beaten with a dead cat. It makes it sound like protected sex will protect women from HPV. It won't. That stuff is virulent and can be passed on even with a condom. So it could give women a false sense of safety.

Lol at dead cat...

So what's the answer then? Abstinence? I would be very very slow to have sex given the fact we can become infected even with the use of condoms.

The thought of being with a bloke that's slept around, makes my stomach turn.

the CDC changed the age "limit" to 45y, but the vaccine has no effect if someone already got the virus, still the thing protects people from 9 strains, so unless someone had all nine infections, the vaccine is still worth it.
