Posted by ImTheRamSo you resent her for being granted maternity leave? Why is that?
Sure..but i think that my side of things...do conflict with yours...
I feel like women have way more privileges on my workplace...
Yes...there is sexism...but this sexism, when used right by some women....makes them climb some stairs...
I've also seen women that were 6 months preagnant and decided to call the doctor so they woldn't work more untill the pregnancy and the baby period time....so about 6 months at home for *free* ?
So ye...There are both side of the coin...
Not everyone is the same...and not all women do this ofc...but women...are not inocent at all...
😉

Posted by xXxAliciaXxXIf you could reverse time and go back would you still react the same way?
In the military I experienced A LOT of sexual harassment.
I was a kid when I joined. Wasn't sure what to do or how to go about it.
I didn't want to be looked at as "that sensitive girl" who reports people. Didn't want to be looked at as a snitch. So I just took it and brushed it off the best that I could.

Posted by xXxAliciaXxXYou should have said something. Who knows how many women they probably did that to and got away with it or worse. Don't ever be afraid to speak up. 🙂

Posted by xXxAliciaXxXOh I know it's hard to tell, but it's either your safety or your sanity and you need to have both in tact.Posted by Chelsey07I know.Posted by xXxAliciaXxXYou should have said something. Tbh, I'm used to it. Not the first or last time I experienced sexual harassment. I'm pretty numb to it actually.
Doesn't make it right or ok by any means, but I'm just being honest.click to expand

Posted by sultrykittyYeah that's how I go about it. I typically don't make it a big deal and prove to them through my work that I know what the fuck I'm talking about, having tits doesn't change that.
I work in the electrical industry.
More women now than when I started, but not a lot of sexism once the guys see that a woman can perform just as well.
There may be a little sexism at first if they've never worked with me but again, if the job is done right, they drop that chit quick.
I sometimes use being female to my advantage. Being flirty works.

Posted by LadyNeptuneThankfully I haven't dealt with it much. Absolutely no sexual harassment, just the occasional "little missy" attitude.Posted by sultrykittyYeah that's how I go about it. Posted by AliensusedourbogrollWhats a dongas? Are you from new zealand or australia?
I worked as a cleaner at the mines. The top 2 stories that stand out are.....
1) One of the cleaners was at the bar having a drink. When she walked back to her donga with her next door neighbour she found her door a tiny bit open and a guy that had been sitting opposite her at the bar laying in bed waiting for her. Earlier on in the night she had taken out her key and put on the table in front of her to grab money from her pocket. This guy thought she had put the key in front of him to take so he could go to her room because she wanted to hook up with him. Very awkward. I know it's not sexual harassment in the normal sense but still.
2) This one's my fave. 2 of the cleaners (late teens/early 20s) were sitting outside their dongas having a beer and some guy approached them. He told he had been on site for nearly a month and was really horny. He then proceeded to offer them money to have sex with him. They laughed because they thought he was joking but nope! He said he was really serious. The girls told him to fuck off. He then told them his name and if they change their mind, to meet him at room blah blah —. This guy was soooo obviously clueless. Even as he was being escorted off site he still couldn't understand what he had done wrong. The guys he worked with reckon there was something off about him.

Posted by OmniVirgoFlirtWell, my dad's a (retired) electronics engineer, and both my brothers are software engineers.Posted by sultrykittyI have to admit, not many women work in the electro physics fields. The ones that do are very smart.

Dongas are what we call the bedrooms people stay in. A standard donga has a bed, side drawers, cupboard and a bathroom. If you're lucky u get a tv!
I'm from Australia.

Posted by LadyNeptuneI had a guy claim 3 hours overtime at Disney today.
I was at the stone yard today to select some boulders and the dude helping me with my selection was way out of line. I'm still kinda fuming about it.
