Posted by BlueStarMy skin is a hot mess right now because I’ve been doing so much work.
But I would say #1 is the wear sunscreen daily. Especially if you are naturally pale.
Then you want a day time and night time moisturizer for you skin type.
A good cleanser and never go to be with makeup on.
Wash your face in the morning with ice cold water to close your pores and warm (not hot) at night to open them before you use a toner.
You are still young so you could do an eye cream but really sunscreen will do more until you hit 30.
Face and eye masks as needed. Sometimes I use them every other day sometimes weekly.
Finding a good sunscreen for me has been so difficult! Most do not work with sensitive skin. And finding one that works under makeup is rare. I've recently discovered Asian sunscreens and will be experimenting with them.
You need TWO different moisturizers for day and night? 😭 I'm assuming the night time one is supposed to be heavier?
How does eye cream work?
There are soo many types of masks to choose from. What kind of purposes do you use masks for? There are also masks for eyes?!
Posted by GemiAwesomeAssPosted by SassyKiwiI like simplicity and people saying you need like 10 different products throughout the day are 🤯 Cleanser, toner, moisturizer, serums, sunscreen, masks, etc just stop 😭 Plus you gotta experiment different products in each category before you find what suits you! What's your daily/weekly routine and what products do you use?
I don’t do shit! I guess I am blessed with skin that doesn’t need anything.
I can’t stand all you just mentioned...
Like...why? Because it’s exist and someone has to pay for it?
I am ordering samples from time to time but nothing really does anything to my skin.
I cook from scratch.
I drink water.
I smoke...🤷♀️
And I do t think I’d inherited it because my mom is the one who is soaking herself in anything she can get her hands on...her shower routine is 2 hours.
And she doesn’t have my skin. Hers is too dry and paper thin...
I don’t know...all I need is lipstick. Nude or pink perly...

You don't have crows feet, wrinkles or any spots you're worried about at your age?

Ahem. Taurus Rising moment.
For daily use I have this. It doesn’t seem to break me out like other versions.
For under makeup I use
You really don’t want to use more than 30 spf because it adds free radicals per my esthetician’s advice.
I use a gel moisturizer for day use
At night I use Vitamin C cream but some people using an anti-aging serum too.
And I use rose hip oil (any brand as long as it’s certified 100% )
Eye cream is just prevention. There is no eye cream out there under the $ 150- $ 200 versions that will reverse anything. Best thing is prevention, but you can use an eye cream to slow things down or help with blood flow. Something with caffeine is good.

Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream
It’s about $ 80 I think.

How long does the eye cream last? And 50 spf has been the rage lately.. if it adds free radicals while people use it in the first place to keep from aging prematurely then wtf man 🤯 Do you only use the 50 spf when you put on makeup?

All of this but also drinking more water and staying out of the sun between 10-2 is more effective for better skin.
SPF on sunscreen loosely translates to minutes. So 15spf you’ll need to apply every 15mins.
Yes most will define it per the uvb rays which ‘burns’ you and gets the lobster sun burn... and translates to 10 mins protection per 1spf. But to adequately stop uva rays, the ones that penetrate deeper in your skin layer and cause premature aging and wrinkles...you’d want to do a 1 min to 1spf ratio.
Save your 55+ spf for sunbathing and apply throughout the day.
30spf for the face, hands, neck for daily use and like I said earlier, avoid the sun between 10-2. At this time the rays are direct and the most strong.
So many people forget to apply sunscreen on the tops of their hands. I keep a tube in my car console cause your hands get blasted by the sun during that daily commute.
I used to work in ritzy ass Newport and the women’s faces were frozen in time at 30, but the tops of their hands scream 60 😬
Sry for the spf rant. Former lifeguard here 🖐
And if I know anything I know my sunscreen

And!!!! The tops of your feet 😂

Yeah true, especially if your always in sandals.
But at least you can hide your feet with shoes, can’t wear gloves year round. Hands are really the true indicator of someone’s age with the Botox, fillers, facelifts. That is until hand lifts become more popular, yes it’s a thing 😆

Yeah I made the sandal mistake once and it hurt so bad and I had a ridiculous pattern.
I pray I have enough money in my old age to keep up with my vanity.

Here comes an answer to my ‘why single’ question...

Yes my ugly face is the reason spf works the way it does 😆
Please keep calling me single, false advertisement but it’s funny to watch you fall back on the things that trigger you.
My skins has always been a little on the drier side, and I like to keep things simple.
This is daily....
Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | PA
Just makes my skin feel hydrated and happy
This at night (sometimes)...
Weleda Skin Food
This is a thick cream you wear overnight, but in the morning everything feels restored.
I'm not loyal to a cleanser brand, just use whatever.
Same with mask, I like peal off mask cus i'm prob pealing of a few layers of skin and hydrating mask to just feel fancier.
