Anyone else ever been intrigued by these?

My next major trip abroad (crosses fingers) is going to be to Scotland/Ireland and I will be visiitng as many as i can. I have always been drawn to the culture and my family lineage is traced back to both areas so it is to learn more about that but truly it's a fascination with the stones themselves. I have always pondered if it was related to astrology, was it burial sites that they preformed rituals, druids? Some folks think aliens may have placed them.

I also want to visit Stonehenge of course

That is the one that started me on the journey of learning about the different stones and what they may have been used for. There is a link to Arthurian legends and i am a huge nerd when it comes to that specific topic lol.

Not going to lie, my recent fascination with the TV show has sparked an even larger flame/desire to visit.

Anyone else?

no, no, easter island is in oceania/ polynesia not europe

if you want to see statues in europe, try greece, turkey (capadoccia) italy, and maybe spain, countries with a medieval or antiquity heritage

I would love to visit some of these ancient sites.

My dream has always been to visit the great pyramid.

Do it πŸ™‚

I didn't start traveling until a few years back, and last year was the first time I left the US, before was just different parts of the states. Besides Canada when i was a kid.

I have so many places i want to go and visit and i always stopped myself from doing it. My best adventure so far was to Romania, besides the 12+ hour time difference/flights with no sleep, it was phenomenal. I got to see real life Castles.

Fyi not trying to be a pretentious European but we all have some Celtic heritage. But i know what you mean to say, tho you can do a search for Galicia stones, Carnac stones to see the British isles ones arent the only ones.

Happy trip. πŸ€—

It's cool dude, i apprecaite the infos, i am aware there are other areas that have them as well as the cletic heritage. LOL, what is up with you and aqua_dude thinking i only think they are in Scotland? Not trying to be flippant here, legit confused by this. I am making a point that Scotland is first on my list is all.

You're a wild woman. πŸ˜›

*gasp* moi?

Why do you say that? lol

Too much excitement for my dullard sun. lol

Maybe dullard isn't the right word. Let's just call it a boring sun.

LOL i just realized you quoted koni... *exit stage left*

You are indeed a wild woman.

Naw, not really, Wild at heart yes, in life i'm actually pretty tame.

Although I might do the occasional crime fighting on a rooftop at night... but that is another story.
