Im going to Tampa to avoid it.

I'm in Tampa and ppl are freaking out here.... I keep looking at the track and it's not even suppose to hit us....just lots of rain per usual.

Man I hope it dies in the Atlantic.

Hopefully if it doesn't hit you, it'll stay clear of us.

But like I said-- I hope it dies in the Atlantic.

Tornadoes are certain with any hurricane or tropical storm. They are even more easy to deal with then the eye wall and storm surge.

Yea they are harder to pinpoint in a hurricane rather then a super cell. Super cells you can see them on radar and know where it may drop. Hurricane spawn tornadoes are just turbulent tornadoes.

Right!

The way it looks, I dunno if Tampa will be safe.

I'm about an hour south of Tampa and I don't think we are completely safe - quite a few projections show it turning and coming straight for us - of course they don't know what it's gonna do but by the way people are acting and the looks of our grocery stores you would think they already told us we're getting hit ?

Jacksonville is worse, no? All the diagrams show it heading right up there.

Jax was where we were headed for my mr for training, who works for the Dept of Defence in the middle east. Interestingly enough he's emailed the in charge there 2 days ago and heard nothing still-much to his disapproval and their incompetence!

Florida peeps, please get out now and give yourself plenty of time. It took my relative 9.5 hours to drive to the FL/GA state line. She said 30mph max the entire way

Yep! Talking about it helping how?

Are you helping by asking that question?

Unless any of us are wealthy enough to donate money to the islands that have been devastated by these natural disasters or have the time and money to travel to these places and volunteer to help, then all we can do is talk about it or just ignore it.

If you have any other suggestions on how people can help though please do share.

I pay taxes!

Do you?

If I will quit my job that I have skillfully doing and go help something I have no idea what I am doing - who is going to benefit? People who's limbs I am accidentally broke because I don't have a doctor degree? I don't think so...

I know a lot of people feel the same way you do about donating and I completely understand why.

It sucks though because what if the money really is going to the people who need it? Unfortunately when trust is broken innocent people suffer because of it too. All that matters is that the donations get to the people in need however that may be possible so if people choose to donate on their own I'm sure that works too.

I agree.

I think companies should make the info more easily

accessible, instead of having to ask for it.

Are your taxes significantly helping the people in other areas around the world outside of your country that have recently been devastated by these disasters?

If that's the case and you don't want to quit your job to help then all you can do is talk about it right? Or ignore it? Which takes us back to my original point.

I am pretty sure USA is helping enough to all those countries who could get off their butts and work instead of waiting for money from USA and trash our name when they don't need help from us...

so our 300M taxpayears are contributing enough so I DONT HAVE TO RUN OVERSEAS AND LEAVE MY OWN KIDS TO A STRANGERS TO HELP LAZY ASSES PARENTS with their kids because they've used to UNCLE SAM fat wallet!
