The reason you focus on the bad side is because Virgo's progress from the realization of the negative. They can't make a correlation with the positive, because they realize that success is futile without realization of failure.

It's in your nature ... you have to fully comprehend where you went wrong, before you are able to see where you need to go right ... nature of the beast, and a pretty responsible quality if you ask me.

What is special about you is something most other people crave, and will make utter fools out themselves trying to pretend they have it = control of themselves.

Darkness also resides there, in that in order to have this gift, you are helpless understanding life's basic quality = passionate embracing.

To have control with the intent of not allowing yourself a reaction to life ..... means, you aren't experiencing those sensations outside of a very defined box. You need this box, to keep composure and to remain calm to not have to expose yourself by reacting to emotional spikes in life ... essentially = you rob your own self from being to embrace the joys of life outside of this box you keep stored in your head. Because this box is your existence, everything you know is in there, and the contents are massive and well organized.

If only you could let people in .... they would then realize that your feelings run extremely deep into the earth, rooted and reliable.

I thank my lucky stars everyday that I have one of these people as my life partner.

He's real .. he may not get emotional things sometimes, he may be fussy at times, he may not see a rational reason why he should emote ... but, there's no deception going on ... he says what he means, and he means what he says.

And that is a gift. That is very special. Just look around you to find the evidence to support this. 99% of those around you will say or do anything, for purposes of making false impressions so that their egos can get bathed.

Being a fool isn't the concern, so long it's wrapped in a pretty pink bow. Truth isn't the aim. Validating their uncontrolled feelings is the aim.

Now that ^^^^^ is bad

I love being a Virgal. I don't think I did when I was in my teens or twenties...I was too critical of myself. Now older, I embrace it and love it.

Why— I'm intelligent, witty, social, caring, independent, confident, and I believe I'm beautiful on the inside and out. I love being me and I think that's a good thing. As with anyone, I know that I have things about me I wish were different. What? I wish I wasn't so sensitive sometimes, I wish my brain would quite down so I can sleep (haha), I wish I wasn't so picky all the time (although that can be a good thing too), and I wish I could just relax sometimes. And who can forget the need to be perfect in all things - as if that is even possible. However, with age I find that all the blessing that come with being a Virgal is awesome and wouldn't change anything.

Embrace who you are and roll with it.

Now why don't you like being a Virgo— _??_

"Relationships are rarely smooth and easy for Virgo, unless he plays terribly safe and finds himself another earthy type who fits into his safe universe. And then, sadly, he's always a little bored, and life's a little dreary, and he feels he's missed the boat, somehow. The recipe for happiness is the same here as for the Virgo shadow. A good liberal dose of the child: to gamble, to play; a dash of recognition that what is useful is not always necessarily what is living and meaningful. And occasionally to be mistaken, to occasionally be a fool, because in our most ancient mythologies the fool is holy."

hmm that's true... very true. in fact childhood would probably be the theme of my life book if i were to write one. maybe a little freudian at times, but i find a lot of issues i deal with presently as an adult manifested from one specific childhood trauma. also i have this fascination with the idea of childhood and have an endearment towards people who are naturally playful, like a child (but not childish, obviously). the idiot by Dostoevsky comes to mind...which also goes into damnata's quote about the fool... only labeled an idiot (or a fool) by a society that can't understand the importance of an enduring quality of "childness" even in adulthood. children soak ideas in like a sponge because their minds haven't been weathered down by the "adult" society. we can learn to be creative from them i think...or at least learn to invoke our inner child.

i don't like being a virgo because most of the time i want everything to be perfect but perfect according to my standards not the normal globally known standards. plus aim sooooo hard on my self like i have a good life and everybody shows me that am doing good but am never good enough in my head i keep putting myself down and its so frustrating. i don't know if any other virgo's feels what i feel but it seems am always on some side of an extreme never in the middle? am a fun person true and i can handle tough situations with great patience but i feel am in a box alone and i just need someone to break in and get me out although i block who ever tries. so confusing ??_. so ya thats part of it

This is beautiful, P. Thank you for sharing.. It's always illuminating reading someone else's insightful perspective; especially on how we Virgos appear to other signs.

Awe, darlin I have been there and done that. I know exactly what you mean and how you are feeling. It's intense I know. We aim for perfection, it's who we are, but you have to keep in mind that there is NO such thing as perfect. It's the imperfections that make you perfect. You have to give yourself a break.

I have a feeling you are young. Maybe 20's— I don't ask as if it is a bad thing, I ask so I can better understand where you are in life.

Your brain probably never shuts off...constantly analyzing anything and everything. The home, or your things, need to be organized just so. Your overly critical of yourself and you tend to judge others and not on purpose. You do this for many reasons but not purposely. You have friends but few close friends a even fewer that understand you.

Is any of this true for you? I'm totally willing to help you. I get what you're going though...

Well you are not alone. ——

Somewhere in your mid 30's you'll finally get to this place where it's all okay. I think it was around 30 I started to feel secure with who I am. Figured out that I needed to stop being so negative to myself. I figured out I was way more intelligent then I ever gave myself credit for. Physically I never felt pretty enough or even that perfectly thin enough. So silly of me! Now I love myself enough to say I may not be a supermodel but I can rock it just fine with what I got.

Whenever you feel low tell yourself "I'm as good as any and better than most". And know there are lots of us out there that have or do feel the same thing.

Rock that Virgal in you! Be proud! _??
