Do you like to write stuff, like poetry, or short fiction?

Novels take a lot of focus, since in order to create a page-turner . . you have to pay close attention to sub-plots and put bigger emphasis on developing character traits, since the reader has a bigger time span to become intimatately involved with the evolution of the character and how they move the plot along.

Short fiction is much easier . . it usually takes me years to write a good novel, but, short fiction I can do in several hours because the details aren't so important. Dark is good . . look at King . . especially with this day and age . . people like the Macabre (is that spelled right) . . hey, isn't King a Virgo?

His work is extremely odd at times and he kicks ass.

My thinking process is scattered at times . . so, a lot of times . . my writing is uncomprehensible . . but, your pretty articluate. You think in details . . I'd bet you'd be a good writer, Branh.

Woohoo, people are posting at this time of night— I just got off work... it's raining... and will be like this all weekend... then monday we're expecting a big freeze.

Google says it's 53 F right now, and rainy, and we're expecting a high of 35 and low of 21 on Monday... but Ohio has gotten much colder than that in my lifetime, so it's really nothing.

I'm in the Appalacians . . and it's a little cold, but, not too bad yet. Historically, we get a lot of snow, but, not too many deep freezes. A couple years ago, I was snowed in for 5 days because I'm on top of a mountain that's a dirt road . . no snow plows up here.

Oh, video games . . I should have known that, stupid me . . my son has all those things. I bought him a . . um . . 360 something for Christmas . . xbox, that's it. He's addicted to Halo . . poor guy . . tough life . . I guess being addicted to drugs would be worse.

I guess I'm fortunate, in that I have no addiction to drugs, instead I have the stupidest addictions in the world... yes, I may have been arrested recently (a month and a couple days ago) as a consequence of binge drinking, but I can assure you I am far from being addicted to alcohol, and I understand that's a pretty bad addiction too.

lol, that's one thing I can say, I've never had a problem with. Smoke cigs, drink coffee and get high once in a while . . which I realize are all drugs . . but, I don't consider them like that, really . . never did crack, and alcohol isn't much of an attraction. My biggest problem is nicotene.

I'm a smoker and a drinker... and I can't say I think with 100% sureness that I am addicted to nicotine, I still think it's a "bad habit"... And even my drinking is usually in moderation, I do have my nights of stupidity, the college scene and all. And since OSU lost the national championship I haven't had many parties to go to.

Ha, PA... I still tell that story for laughs every now and then... I do see alot of humor in my own stupidity.

No I haven't gotten off the hook yet. My next court appearance in Jan 26th early in the morning... yes they sure do know how to torture a night owl... I rarely see the sun before noon.

He's 50, I'm 47 . . so a couple years older. He's had a hard life, really.

He had a total bitch for a first wife, who used his kids against him to get what she wanted from him, he did 5 years in the Georgia State Penitentary back in the 80's, broke a couple vertebra's in '93 . . so, I don't give him a lot of grief about his life style . . it hasn't been easy. If drinking makes his life easier, then I'm ok with that.
