I usually agree with you most of the time Cajun, but not this time. I'm married to a very confident and secure Scorpio man. he is so comfortable with who he is and what he's about, i rarely see any signs of insecurity. of course he is human and right now we are going through a lot of stressful scenarios. so i don't expect him to not feel the stress from that. we all do.
but he never makes excuses. he doesn't go into the "pity me" mood as some do. He doesn't give a sh*t what others think or say about him, period. And I love him more because of that. He is my rock and I'm am his.
Having dated a few other signs and worked with about every sign on the planet, it's been my experience the most insecure people around me have been virgo's and caps. considering these two signs live to work and seem to have so much direction in their lives; i think it's the element of control that drives them crazy. they can't control everything and make everyone live up to their expectations, at least what they consider to be the best outcome etc. their insecurity shows up in their criticism of others and lack of empathy. my current boss is a cap.
he is a control freak. he thinks he is infallible. and yet without my work ethic, can do attitude and expertise, he'd be up a crick without a paddle.

Yes, I am.
And, as I said earlier--it's not just one or two signs, it seems to be the vast majority (in their own ways). Some show it with laughter, some with jokes, some with anger, and some with passive aggressive tendencies.

All virgo women I've known(as friends, acquaintances and relatives) have all been Machiavellian as opposed to being insecure. Shrewd, opportunistic and WAY more intelligent than they let on at any time. Furthermore, they have huge senses of empathy....just might not act on it.
I can agree with some of this....also I agree with CLCNY30...putting virgos on that list.
But I'd say Cancers and Scorpios (male and female)

This a huge compliment to virgo women. I'm pretty sure that you know that we aren't trying to be that way. You are a virgo yourself so I know that you understand what I'm talking about. We appear confident to other people. Do you think that being totally aware of consequences leads us to be frank about ourselves in what we say and do? No means no in our book. We know exactly what we will and will not tolerate. We are decisive. Could all of that be mistaken for confidence by others?

I hate to go near generalizations but: Cancer male, Capricorn male, aries and virgo male tied for third.(personal experience in music, friendships and sports). In that order.
Dark horse: gemini male. The one's who are insecure are bigger divas than aqua girls. Huge HUGE divas.....Women: scorpio woman, leo woman. I've known a few libra women who were more self destructive than insecure.

How are virgo men insecure? I might know why, I just want to know your point of view.

wow, you said what i was trying to say about caps on the cap board. it indeed is the element of control. i said we are insecure about the unknown, which is nearly everything, which is definitely what keeps us on the edge internally and drives us crazy.
Insecure and confident? Pisces.
Insecure/victimized? Cancer.
In my humble opinion, I don't believe Virgos are insecure at all. Though they may come off that way, I think it's just their nervous energy wanting everything in its place.

I am a true Virgo and I am not insecure at all. When people take me for granted then surely it hurts but it can not shatter my confidence to the least. I know that I am a wonderful person and one who loses me is a loser. Its his/her loss not mine. Because its really hard to find a caring, understanding, honest and loyal person like me. Its unfortunate that mostly people take advantage of this instead of valuing it.
I think the most Confidently Insecure sign is LEO
It definitely is not easy to be a Virgo!
But, for people who understand you, know that we love you guys. Honestly, Virgos are such honorable people. I cannot put into words how inspirational you are.
for me it may appear that im insecure cuz i can be really shy. but most people notice when i open up im quite confidant about myself and dont really lack self esteem. in fact i can get quite conceited lol.
i agree the scorps. mmm possibly also aquariuses. thogh it really varies with those.
I also notice a lot of leo women come to me with their insecurities as furocious of a front that they put up.

I remember feeling this way even as a child. I knew that I was a wonderful person and for those who didn't take the time to stick around were too impatient. I am very loyal but people have to get passed my exterior to experience that.
You know how some signs take on other people's problems as their own? We don't bring ourselves down like that.

I think that's how I know when someone's a Virgo--the shy exterior then once you befriend them this other side unveils. haha This was how I met one of my closest friends. I thought he was shy so I decided to keep him company at a party, after about 5 minutes of talking about favorite movies and directors, omg... It's like I hit the gold mine of all topics or something, HE ended up keeping ME company. Full of chatter. lol

When they're alone and have no one to talk to, they become extremely depressed and act like little lost children (which is kind of endearing).
Question #2: Libra. They try not to brag, because they know it makes them look impolite and obnoxious, but they're the secret narcissists of the zodiac. If you pay close enough attention to them, you'll realize how smug they truly are.

It's as if they're seeking some acceptance thinking they must give what the man wants to gain his approval. - May not be insecurity but it certainly is whorish...

I knew an aquarius who went to Africa and lived with a tribe for months on her own yet she couldn't be remotely assertive with her own flatmate who would walk all over her re: space sharing. Her flatmate treated the place as her own and this girl would cry about it to me but do nothing. Weird mix like one of the most courageous people I have ever met and completely insecure at the same time

No you are quite correct about Leo's and especially Libras. This is why we like people to leave us alone.
I don't think it's a sign thing, it's more about life style and place in you're life at this moment. All can be insecure and all can be confident, depends how you're living your life and are you happy with your situation. If you're not developing your personality, you're going to be insecure no matter what your sign is. Everyone has some kind of insecurity, and how you live your life , reach your goals etc defines how much of that b.s you feel.
If you're where you want to be in your life, you'll be as confident as you can be because you're satisfied with your results and how far you've come towards your goals, family dreams or something else, if you're in the bottom, you can easily be insecure as can be. Some need status to feel confident, some need family and security to get over their insecurity, some need recognition etc, different things for different people, because how people perceive and do things are based on human cognitive functions, and in different people these work differently.
