I can never forget someone as well, especially if they've been a part of my life. The process of letting go of someone may take just a few weeks especially if there is limited to no contact. But moving on is a different story, though.
How does the difference between letting go and moving on manifest itself? I'm Virgo rising and I wonder how much this applies to me too. My friends are trying to get me "to get back out there", while I'd rather work through how I feel first.

Moving on happens in the mind first then the Law of Attraction will help you.

You are a Virgo so you like organizations and systems. See in your mind's eye new systems of organized behavior in your new improved life. Like a new job.

In your imagination see the flawless system or routine you would employ; maybe the night before you will lay out some clothes, prepare your lunch. See yourself getting up in the morning getting, dressed, and ready.

Feel in your body the sensation of going to the car not thinking about your ex but organizing your day for work. Think about the new job and the new duties you may be performing throughout the day. Feel the difference between your air-conditioned car and the air outside when you walk up the stairs to the building.

Feel yourself get the badge from around your neck if appropriate and showing it to the security guard. Smell the coffee in the office, see the new hot chick who works at the receptionist desk if applicable who's flirting with you.

See yourself knowing the different tasks that are assigned to your job description and organizing your day to complete each of those tasks proficiently and efficiently feel yourself doing this without your ex in your mind.

For me, when I say letting go (especially in a relationship) it's like being able to accept the fact that it's really over. Since Virgos are known for over-thinking, letting go is the moment that I'd stop dwelling on it, I won't try to win her back or something.

And moving on is like the healing process for me, that I'm quite alright with being friends with that person if they want to. Did I make sense? Lol! I don't know, I just think that letting go and moving on are two processes for me.

For example: I've had this ex gf 5-6yrs ago, we broke up because she felt like she fell in love with another guy, and she got so busy we barely see each other. When we broke up, I was hang-up over her. After 2 weeks of the break-up, I called her up and asked if there was no chance at all to get back together. She said that there wasn't. Obviously, I should've broke down and cry about her answer but it didn't. In fact, it made me feel a lot better and made it easy for me to let her go. Even after 2yrs, sometimes we hang-out, just platonic, but I'd still feel like I have lingering love for her. I'd still do things for her or help her out if she needs help from me. I did admit that to her, but I told her that I'm not looking for anything romantic with her. So I guess I really did move on, just that it took a very long time. Lol

Hi @Shrewdsharp! These past few days were a bit difficult for me. I was doing my best to do what everyone recommended on how to do the Law of Attraction", but sometimes negative thoughts would come back again, and I'd dwell on it. It's like I get over emotional over my ex again. I really felt stuck. And I asked my sis if there would be any recruitment in their account anytime soon and she said that there aren't yet and it might take 2-3mos. So I felt even more not getting anywhere.

I don't know, but yesterday morning I woke up and just started to check on posted job ads online and saw a few that I'm interested in. I felt a lot better, I'm planning to apply again next week. Sure, I'd still feel a bit of pang about my ex, but I'm just more focused on getting a new job. I'm also planning what I'd do when I get hired and receive my salary like continuing my automotive servicing classes and enrolling in a language school for Japanese. Budgeting my earnings so I can still have some savings left for the future and for travel expenses, treating some friends and family for dinner. Then the negative thoughts flies away.

I understand; those cards you pulled indicated a new job. I know it hurts really bad, but getting busy doing activities that you enjoy especially having income will help tremendously. Try to stay positive, laugh, look at comedies, stay busy. ?

Most people don't feel good when they don't have income, you'll feel much better when you are employed.

Thank you so much 🙂 As always, you always help me see the bright side of everything, I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart 🙂

I do have a source of income right now, it's just that the pay is more like an allowance and I have nothing much to do, maybe that's why I'm having a hard time getting over my ex because I have nothing much to focus on like work. Before, most of the time I just play games on my phone to kill the time but I've already lost interest on those.

And thank you as well for the interpretation. I'm also feeling confident about acing the interviews and exams. I just have to face my fears and stop procrastinating.

That's something you're going to have to do yourself honey. No one can make you forget but yourself.

Think of it this way: eventually, you'll meet the love of your life that you'll settle with and this guy that you're trying to get over WON'T BE SHIT. He won't mean ANYTHING to you in the long run. You might learn from him and have your feelings hurt, but all relationships are like that. As long as you don't go back to a mistake and know what you want, he doesn't mean shit.

Honestly... It takes me forever to forget about even the most stupid crush but i think i have abandon issues. I sure do move on and start seeing other people but i still think about my unrequited love constantly and it generally lasts at least 6 months post break up, until i wake up one morning and they are just completely off my mind, like complete strangers. I always found this weird because in my mind im like "im never getting over this" and one morning it s all gone.

Though for all my exes, i often have regrets even the ones who really hurt me, like i wish i was more perfect and pretty and then may be things would have worked. I Know its completely stupid but i just dont seem to help myself. Luckily this only happens once a year or so

Depends on how important they were to me and the reason to why they're no longer in my life.

Being important to me can vary from a best friend I've had for years that suddenly moved away to a stranger who I make eye contact with on the street and I feel weirdly connected to them.

Intrigue (considering I'm fascinated with things lmao Virgo) and importance goes hand in hand for me at least.
