I'm sure this may have been discussed before (possibly on dxp) but do you think that Spock was a Virgo? Aquarius? Or what? Wasn't his father supposed to have been from the planet Vulcan (supposed true ruler of Virgo)? Did the creators of Star Trek know about/believe in astrology? I am a Virgo male myself (with Moon in Aquarius as well) and I often kind of identified with Spock. BTW I know Leonard Nimoy was/is an Aries but that's not the point.

Stories often reflect his social views

His characters are often very diverse, covering many races and ethnicities

Best known as the creator of the television series "Star Trek" (1966)

Often used color to show authority (captains wore yellow, commanders wore blue, etc.)

Many of his antagonists are portayed as good individuals taken over by fanaticism

His stories often have a conflict between emotion and logic

Many episodes of "Star Trek" had a minor character (known as a redshirt for their distinctive clothing) die to show the danger faced by the main characters

Best known for his utopian vision of the future in which war and poverty have been eradicated

His view of people as being inherently decent and willing to help each other

That ^^^ was pulled from imdb on Gene Roddenberry.

You used an "s" in your question to ask if the creator(s) of Star Trek believe in astrology, and there is no plural to it. There was only one creator.

For a man born in 1921, such as Gene Roddenberry ... he was very modern thinker, wasn't he? Not only for making a series about space travel, but, the overall basis in which he believed in people. He made a stand in his epic story to convey to people that there are no prejudices ~ people are equal, even aliens, such as the Vulcan in which you speak.

A man this open-minded might certainly have thought astrologically when developing the characters.
