Who Were You In High School

Here's a fun topic I thought could be interesting.

Ideally, I would like you all to try and match yourself with the generic stereotypes I present or at least utilise the characteristics presented, but all responses are welcome.

Jock/Bully - Strong front, Aggressive towards others, Lots of confidence, Hide insecurities, Athletic
Popular - Friendly with most, mean to some, enjoyed attention, always in demand
Outcast - Few to no friends, Quiet, Kept to yourself, Socially awkward/retarded
Academic Scholar - High intellectual capacity, Great school performance, Teacher's pet
Interlooper - Could befriend everyone, socially capable, Did not keep to one group

I was pretty much a mute[Outcast]. Spent most of my time by myself and spoke to few, but I could easily relate to the different groups, so I was an Interlooper at times, mutable nature I guess.

Oh and I am a Bully too 😛

Sadly, the popular people in my school were NOT nice to most everyone, as you describe. They were arrogant pricks, who threw their weight around like it was going out of style .


And to put it frankly: I simply can't relate to most jocks.

I was able to interact with both groups (thanks Libra rising), but I definitely felt more comfortable around the Have Nots.

The stench of Self-Proclaimed-Superiority was too strong on The Haves....

Yes, I always prefer the have nots. Pretentiousness is such a turn off 🙂

I was definitely a mixture of the Academic Scholar and the Interlooper. In the freshman and sophomore years, I was probably a little of an Outcast too, but I was still going through a bad period of my life that didn't start to remedy itself until the end of my junior year. I was always the scholar, but I didn't start branching out until Senior year; which was fortunate because I ended high school on a good note.

Those two above described me LOL. But I did have a bit of a rebel streak, which was why I was also interlooper. 🙂 And even hung out with "mean girls"! LOL Actually they liked me! So they kind of stuck to me. (It was similar to Lohan's role but not quite like that 😛) So I hung out with Mean girls and also the Academic nerds. LOL It was an odd mix. I could also once in awhile hang out with the weirdos too (the ones who were outcast cause I felt bad for them, which used to piss off my friends who were in the academic AND the Mean girls clique) LOL It was so weird.

Yeah, definitely sounds like we had a bit in common lol

Lol, well as of right now (and I"m sure I'll stay in this direction), I'm studying psychology while minoring in Biology and Criminology. A long time ago I used to want to be a chemist; I really have no idea where I was going with that, lol. I hate chemistry now.

I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice. At first, I was going to get my Master's in Counseling, but now Im doing it for Administration. Oh and in high school, I was an outcast/interlooper.

Academic Scholar
I most definetly started off as the geek from the urban side that went on to a Magnet program as we call it down here in Musical/Arts to all prodominatly caucasian saburban school. I was an honor student in middle ( taking pre-calculus math. biology honors, etc.) school and started off as an honor student in high school, and then....

Outcast
To being picked on and discriminated from the first day of sophmore in high school, to just straight rebelling, and fighting back (literally to those white and black kids who were when I think about it) straight hating on being the teachers pet. Funny, cause when I watch "Everybody hates Chris", the teacher remind me so much of My the lady who accepted me into the Chorus program. Trust me, when I say I was the only one in that school accepted in the program for that department along with a friend who chose to go into Photography/Broadcasting magnet program. She was the teacher who was racist, discriminative, and made me feel like shit publicly along with the other inner city kids chosen for the program I was in, as if we were scum and had no support.

I eventually left that shool and went on to being my introverted self, seldomely making any real friends.

i went to an arts highschool so we were all dorks really but most of everyone knew me as the nice quiet girl.

I am the Interlooper. I never stayed with one group and i was never always in a group. Several days I was with the shoe boys, the next with the druggys, the following with the tools, after that with the jocks, and shortly after i finished with the jocks i was with the \"boys\" (metalHEADS).

I never got shit from the jocks because i was in hockey, but i was poked at by the jocks for having long hair, ah well.

Wow, are you done college yet?

Yes, the same. "Oh my GOD A___, what are you even doing talking to them?" Like they might get cooties on the playground or something. Oh dear, did something rub off? *brow raised* I just shrugged it off. I remember I dated someone from a different state. Took culinary school in one state, high school in another, wore that letter jacket with pride I did. The males in my graduating class were up in arms. How dare I. I just took the attitude "Well none of YOU bozos are asking me out!" 😛
I'd just flit from group to group like a butterfly. 🙂

INTERLOOPER/POPULAR- but I was never mean to anyone! I hug out with everyone but most ppl knew me, I was very active in H.S. (Cheerleading, Government... Fashion Shows, Plays...etc etc)

I'd say a mix between Interlooper & Outcast.

I had a few good friends, but didn't stay to one particular group. For a while there, I was rarely seen with anyone at my particular high school...blame it on the boyfriend who went to the alternative school (sex, drugs, and rock and roll were of upmost importance!) 😉

Well I was a jock- I love sports.
I was somewhat popular but then sort of an interlooper at the same time. I had a group but then mingled with other groups whenever I felt like it... Then I was a scholar as well. Im currently majoring in EMS and minoring in criminal justice... thinking about getting my bachelors in psych as well! Psychology is amazing!

Interlooper, no doubt. I even hung out with the wheelchair bound students.

I shoulda been a scholar, id be a damn doctor today or at least had tried.

I personally find motivating myself to work difficult. I care for so little and so few.
If the teacher wasn't good or the subject rubbed me the wrong way, I ceased to try.
