guilt probably...or they don't want someone to tell them they were wrong. Pride most likely.My nephew hardly apologizes for what he does. He just keeps quiet and to himself. Going into his little corner of solitude, comes out when he's happy again or everyone forgets what he did.

Oh ok what's the best thing for me to do when this happens
Most people see it as ignoring because they feel trampled on, but they just see it as needing some space to figure out whatever is going on in their mind.
Try seeing things from their perspective and make an effort to "get" your partner, maybe especially when it comes to virgo's
It makes it easier for yourself to accept instead of wonder/ponder/assume/overreact and it makes it easier for them cause they won't have to feel hurried or anxious about taking their time

If he is ignoring you, then maybe it's because you're in his face, trying to make him admit he's wrong.
I've lived with a Virgo for many, many years ... and he always accepts when he is in error. He doesn't necessary voice it to me, and he shouldn't have to. Why can't a person deal with their mistakes without having to be accountable to you.
