Any Fantasy writers here? Do you have your own outline you follow when world building? I put my novel down in May and I am trying to throw myself back into it. Also what are some practices you use when writing? I am too aware of myself when I write.

I use the perspective of the characters. What do they need/want? How would they build their world(for instance, would they build houses or live in caves or what?)? How do they want to use it and live in it? What do they eat and drink and where do they get it? For how long do the characters live? What do they do with their dead? Religion? How would they exploit their world? How is the world run? Politics? Are there several countries or just one...or two?

First, it has to make sense within the frames of the story, or noone will believe or care to read it.

If you feel too aware of yourself when writing, one thing that help some people is to start every session freewriting.

Good luck! 🙂

Yes and no. I derive inspiration from video games, conversations with my brother, films and theories to build a world.

I write when I get a feeling and I don't when that feeling isn't there. Sometimes I listen to music but it seems that silence gives me more room to breathe and think.

I don't write everyday, but I ponder everyday. I've noticed that my thoughts are more beautifully written than my actual writing and that's okay. Š

my conversation with my husband inspires me ALOT.

i use alot of his conversations with me, into my novels.

with a little twist and changes of course. Since it has to be with the character i'm writing.

i also NEED music to write as well. Especially in epic scenes. lol

so basically my husband is my inspiration,

sometimes he provides me with alot of inspiration by showing and giving me stuff.

like he'll say, "I know you'll like this..."

and i'll most likely enjoy it.

find something that INSPIRES you..

because if you are inspired. the feeling will move you and it will show in your painting, writing, anything you create.

it comes from the feeling of your soul.

nature is a source of inspiration.......

go to the pisces forum, there's a topic there for lots of images and imagery!!!

if you are moved by the images, or go outside and view the world with beauty, youll see alot there..

there is no outline really. just write and feel inspired.

That's sweet. You and your husband sharing ideas. Now that's partnership!

Oh yes the epic scenes require the right song in order to FEEEEEEEEEL it haha

I used to shuffle between R&B (for those steamy paragraphs) and alternative rock (when my make-believe teens misbehave) ^_^

😄 thanks! i love it.

the dialogue just comes out easily and there's a script in my head that is already in the psyche. like a flow. It just comes out very harmoniously on paper.

it's better if you can type fast too. lol

oh my goodness, they both married a year ago but have been togerher for longer,

they just had a baby! my husband thought she was married a long time. lol nope.

and her deepest desire is to have a family with family living together....so true to cancer moon and being cancer dominant. awww.

having emotional support and love with your family and they stay together and the love is harmonious....makes for great wealth of happiness!!

You sound like me. That inner dialogue that just goes. My handwriting sucks but I'm good at typing lol thank God for that typing class I took in 7th grade. Which do you prefer?

aw sorry to hear that, ramen girl!!! someday soon!!

my deepest DEEPEST desire is also like hers, to have family (a tight knit kind with in laws that like you) and a good husband that will love and protect you!! i'm very very happy!!!! it is truly my deepest deepest happiness. I am not a career woman like my sisters are. they are family oriented but i can't juggle like they can.
but they are also VERY Lucky to have good husbands too with in laws that like them as well.
