I love William Blake's "Garden of Love" poem. Poetry of all kinds is so wonderful. I love the art of words. Just a random topic.
I went to the Garden of Love, And saw what I never had seen: A Chapel was built in the midst, Where I used to play on the green.
And the gates of this Chapel were shut, And Thou shalt not. writ over the door; So I turn'd to the Garden of Love, That so many sweet flowers bore.
And I saw it was filled with graves, And tomb-stones where flowers should be: And Priests in black gowns, were walking their rounds, And binding with briars, my joys & desires
"Porphyria's Lover" by Robert Browning is also another favorite of mine. Dark and twisted, but interesting to think about its meaning and what compelled him to write it.
The rain set early in to-night, The sullen wind was soon awake, It tore the elm-tops down for spite, And did its worst to vex the lake: I listened with heart fit to break. When glided in Porphyria; straight She shut the cold out and the storm, And kneeled and made the cheerless grate Blaze up, and all the cottage warm; Which done, she rose, and from her form Withdrew the dripping cloak and shawl, And laid her soiled gloves by, untied Her hat and let the damp hair fall, And, last, she sat down by my side And called me. When no voice replied, She put my arm about her waist, And made her smooth white shoulder bare, And all her yellow hair displaced, And, stooping, made my cheek lie there, And spread, o'er all, her yellow hair, Murmuring how she loved me — she Too weak, for all her heart's endeavour, To set its struggling passion free From pride, and vainer ties dissever, And give herself to me for ever. But passion sometimes would prevail, Nor could to-night's gay feast restrain A sudden thought of one so pale For love of her, and all in vain: So, she was come through wind and rain. Be sure I looked up at her eyes Happy and proud; at last I knew Porphyria worshipped me; surprise Made my heart swell, and still it grew While I debated what to do. That moment she was mine, mine, fair, Perfectly pure and good: I found A thing to do, and all her hair In one long yellow string I wound Three times her little throat around, And strangled her. No pain felt she; I am quite sure she felt no pain. As a shut bud that holds a bee, I warily oped her lids: again Laughed the blue eyes without a stain. And I untightened next the tress About her neck; her cheek once more Blushed bright beneath my burning kiss: I propped her head up as before, Only, this time my shoulder bore Her head, which droops upon it still: The smiling rosy little head, So glad it has its utmost will, That all it scorned at once is fled, And I, its love, am gained instead! Porphyria's love: she guessed not how Her darling one wish would be heard. And thus we sit together now, And all night long we have not stirred, And yet God has not said a word!
@MetaphoricBliss YES! I love Ride! I love Lana. This was one of my favorite music videos, and I love what she added. She truly understands how to convey everything eloquently and beautifully. the way she says it, the words she uses, the tone she uses. all of it encompasses beauty and art. She is so incredibly gifted in my opinion. She knows how to make something simple into something beautiful. Even some of her very simple songs she has written have melodies that still captivate me due to the way they sound and come across.
I AGREE!!! Gemini are fantastic. Literally the greatest artists. Even Kanye had some memorable songs that were like "damn that is talent". One of my best friends is a Gem and she's great at writing. She's working on songwriting at a university in Nashville but going into music business. I think she would make a great artist.
I kind of agree that Drake's verse kind of brings down the songs flow even though I do like Drake. His word choice was not the best in this one, but I guess he gets props for trying? lmfao. Geminis just know how to have that natural flow of words and how to formulate them in an attractive and compelling way. I admire that. I don't have much gem influence, but I love writing myself. 🙂 I try to learn from the masters. Poetry is my favorite.
Oh I love her!! Yes very true. I only have one Pisces friend, and she paints but she is very good and very artistic. Pisces are definitely great artists when they are able to convey their thoughts clearly. I completely agree. I also follow a Pisces girl on twitter from California who paints and she is absolutely fantastic. I love her artwork. I'll have to look up more Pisces singers though. I don't know many of my favorite artists signs. Gotta keep up! lmao
My top three sign influences are: Scorp, Aquarius and Aries. My top three planet influences however are: Sun, Venus and Saturn
Maybe it is the Venus influence that pulls me towards art.
Stuck in your ruins Delusional antics we formed Through confusion we called building How can you build when the sealing is lust How can you trust when every man That comes promising eternal bliss Brings tears She tells everyone to put themselves first To put their wants needs and everything in between first To hold themselves in the highest regard as queen And if a man is not giving you everything you need Tell him peace King I got to leave for me But she doesn't searching for the 1 to bring the ring with the loving But they all Continue to remind her that love means nothing but pain and defeat Why come back in her life to fuck her up And now she got to leave I got to leave She knows to never listen to a mans words but to watch to his actions And if only consistencies didn't lie within fractions and mis-happenings There's nothing she can do or be that is enough She gave you transparency Wasn't enough She gave you everything she thought in this confusion you'd need to cherish her as your queen and you've given her nothing But tears that are dripping in between her seams Soaking up her sanity as she drowns in the ocean Created by her own dna She prays one day that God will send her a man that she won't have to put Fuck boy in front of his name One day and she'd know he's the one She won't have to force phone calls and conversations She won't have ever think she's competing with anyone or anything She won't have to worry about other woman And him posting like she's just living in one big oblivion Until then the cycle of her heartbreak is a never ending continuum -The KooZ
