but I wouldn't try to force his hand before he's ready - he's either got what he wanted and doesn't know what to do with it or he's got a game plan and you've been had - ultimately he needs to step up to the plate or step off if that is what you want

I mean you have to decide what you want as well and be brave enough to put it out there or not

Oh I'm definitely not trying to pressure him into anything. I've let him know I'm interested in more, but only after he's asked. I just wasn't understanding why he was almost pressuring me with these conversations, then going vague and acting weird.

I think it’s because it takes them a long ass time to process and figure out what they want. They take in the information as part of the process. And then the process some more.

I agree with everyone who is speaking about boundaries. I should never have gotten into this situation. But here I am, that being said I'm not upset or angry at him. I'm just trying to read his back and forth behavior.

I had considered that too. However he has recently pulled way back on the sex. So he's not even getting that benefit. Yet he still asks me to see him 3-4 nights a week.
