Love of Learning

Like a sponge… what a astrology sign/planet is to blame or benefit for that? It’s not really about mastering something but the process of learning a new subject, hobby.. etc.

Me:

Sagittarius sun?

Aquarius moon and/ or Saturn?

A whole lot of Capricorn … mercury venus mars

The Cap mercury I think for puzzles & fitting the pieces together.. sag sun for maybe the understanding & the process & not mastering.

How about you? Is learning important to you or do you not like to think about things & don’t care?

I’m working my ass off in tax season while sick & I’m really having the desire to start studying for the next CPA exam 😂😂

I think my Virgo placements get very bored if I don't have some mental stimulation within those I converse with.

I finished my prerequisite classes and as much as I was looking forward to having a break from classes. I feel destimulated again and looking for something to do with my time, luckily my friends and family are looking to spend more time and booking outings together. But that might be a combo of my cancer sun and aries rising wanting to see loved ones but exploring new adventures at the same time.

I tend to be social too, but sometimes that seems like a distraction. Right now I’m being very anti-social & concentrating on me. Except loved ones of course.

Sagittarius is a sign which like educating themselves.

(mutables are good at learning stuff which is why they tend to thrive in college)

It is from how I was raised too. College was more about learning than a career in theory. Cap dad engineer & genius had something to do with that, but also because I had grandmothers on both sides with college degrees, one great grandmother with a master degree. So unusual in that time! Once the women go, the daughters do too.

I don't like learning in spoon-fed form. I prefer to learn holistically. I won't study but I will read a lot and piece things together

No love for spoon-fed learning, which is what it was asked from us, to pass the exams. So we could exclude Sag placements (my asc) 3rd house dominant, mutable luminaries in 3rd house, Mercury in Aqua. Was 21 years in education as a pupil/student, and apart from the last 3 years spent on a research degree, I always considered mainstream education as an unpleasant, but necessary evil.

Instead, I developed my intuition, the ability to solve issues I never encountered before, to think outside the box, and to learn something that the majority are yet to discover.

I would vote Cap and Virgo placements for a love to learn in detail the boring, mainstream stuff.

I love to learn things on my own and it has to be something that interests me. I for one can't see a near 300 pound man such as myself sitting in a small tight squeezed chair and table connected and staring at a teacher's face. I'll be yawning and fall asleep. Now on the other hand I wouldn't mind youngins to teach me what they know. I'm a good listener. I'm willing to listen.

Ok enough about me. On with the question. I might have to agree it's Sagittarius. It seems they love school. Gemini ain't too far behind. We gems loves to learn but unfortunatly most give up when it get bored. We can't seem to stay still long enough. Geminis need excitements and to move around consistently.

This is not about school. It’s the thing about being challenged. Without challenge, I get bored. So sometimes school is boring. But, when it’s what you want to learn it’s not. I actually just did what I needed to do in school, and got out. Changing majors so I didn’t have to do more school.

Learning about yourself, learning how to do things you could never do before, learning a new system, a new job, how to write a book, how to paint, how to run when you have breathing issues… currently learning all the pieces of accounting that I may have missed by refusing to go the route school told me to. So I enjoy it instead of just try to cram and pass ( which is most people’s attitude). The things that get boring get dropped, others stay. Even though I complain about the hours of my current job, I have not been bored at all. Learning more each day.. which is the key to keep my interest it seems.

I love learning and will often read up on things or watch documentaries that range in a variety of subject matters. From things that have no relevance to my life, to wild life and the environment, to information related to how to survive a nuclear blast, all out of pure curiosity. I retain information like a data centre, often is great detail, especially when it comes to people and conversations/events. Sag asked me yesterday day how I am able to remember things in such detail because we were having a debate. I blame by Stellium (for the data storage and attention to detail) and Moon and Venus (for the range in curiosity) for sure.

I also get bored very easily, so wander off to something else quite quickly.

Aquarius, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius. But in different ways and for different reasons. Sagittarius because they're most likely always bored and have to keep learning new stuff, and then shove in everyone's face how smart they are. If a sag ever did that to you break a bottle over their head, ok?

Virgo gets down to the depths to learn something. If they want to. They can really master something, if they want. Gemini only goes so far. Can go deep, if they want. Usually "deep enough" is how they roll.

I'm a Gemini with a Virgo moon and in many cases, I keep reading, keep learning, keep exploring and researching to answer that burning question; "Why?" I forget that sometimes in life, there is no answer. The curiosity to keep me "looking" for that solution I attribute to my sun. The NEED to UNDERSTAND the reasons is more a Virgo thing I think.

My doctor said to me the other day; "I just gave you the answer, and that is that there isn't an answer." My answer was "Ok. That's fine. I understand." And that was that. On to the next matter!

Aquarius loves to learn as well. But in unconventional ways. They are smart and figure things out quick, and they are good at whatever it is they choose to do.

I need to understand. I have NO Virgo placements lol I think that’s a Saggi or Aquarius thing for me. I absolutely do not tell people I’m smart. More it’s people say wow you are so smart IRL. I’m like what? Isn’t that how people think? 😂🙃 Of course my father was a super brain so I was raised in that environment. I figure you don’t need to tell people you are smart if you are. Learning is just a way of approaching things not necessarily what is in books. I didn’t actually like school, but it was pretty easy and a given that I had to go. I didn’t care about grades but more the material I learned. People who ask stupid questions drive me nuts. There’s way too many of them in school so I didn’t pay attention much. Yes I got decent grades just cuz, but i didn’t study much. I was there for the degree. I do better around smart people, but not “intellectuals” who are trying to show how smart they are. Some people just do, they can’t help it. Like my father. I guess I know the difference.

Smart is relative anyway. There are different ways to be smart. My son is math & science brain like my dad. My daughter is not, but sooo smart in other ways. In college right now & soaking up the things she’s learning about different subjects lol It’s funny seeing the process.
