this just my theory.

i think originally she's a Jelena (Justin x Selena) shipper but she must've lived vicariously through Selena for a while coz she clearly remains obssessed with her.

and idk if you've ever fangirled about anyone (specifically another woman) but you kinda amp them up in your head like they're all these positive traits you might not always believe about yourself: impossibly beautiful, majestic, dignified etc.

then when she 'bested' that image of that woman, she might feel kinda lost. like if i lived in a fictional world, where i somehow steal pre vizsla from satine i think it wouldn't stop me from still being a fan of her and might even low key hate myself for ruining my fave ship.

could never imagine doing that to my ship. but there are all kinds of fangirls i guess 🤷🤷

I have been in that really uncomfortable position where you don't want to be jealous of a woman you love and respect and resist it as much as possible, but the guy you're seeing is obviously more attracted to her than you and you're like "wut do". the answer is dump him every time, plus his preference wouldn't be with him with or without you there.

I think Selena's had weird moments as well. I like her songs and what she's doing with Rare Beauty, but she was obsessed with the Hadids' sloppy seconds before she got with Benny. she stole Weeknd from Bella and pissed her off, cheated on him with Justin, Justin became engaged to Hailey, Selena starts coming out with songs hinting she's still into Abel THEN STARTS kissing Bella's ass on social media while Bella paid her dust! what a disgrace. then after Gigi and Zayn broke up she went out with Zayn lmao. messss
