Natal mercury retrogade
I wonder how come I inherit all of mercury retrogrades and my chart say I don't have a retrograde mercury. Could it be something else?
I just learned to roll with it. I'm already awkward so it just adds to the awkwardness and I'll usually make a joke about it. It can still be frustrating cause you just wanna get what you have to say out and out right lol. I do write better than I speak and I do a lot better with people I know...my Leo moon comes out more and kinda over rides the Merc retro.
Mines in the 10th house....I hate speaking in front of a large crowd and I like to be prepared.. I hate when people come at me with things and expect an answer right then and there.. I need time to process and get my head right so that I can communicate my thoughts better.

Yeah probably who knows. I googled one of my placements (mercury square ascendant) to see if that was the culprit but got no luck as it says I'm excellent with words. I just stopped there because that doesn't reign true for me.

People with my placements are graced with intelligence, talents, education, charm, charisma, beauty and the likes. Generally, when there's only one source, it lends to the curiosity of the creditability of the source, hence why I was wondering if you have another source that says the same.
On hindsight, you may be good with words with cancer mercury alone through understanding feelings of others. I think being good with words or not is probably more mercury than anything else. Yeah I always associate my mercury more on the cancerian side as oppose to Gemini mercury. I do have a soft side even though I don't show it. I'm not good at expressing my true feelings towards any users here with words on a screen if any of their loved ones pass. All I can do is sit back and read their sad story and feel sorry and wish there is something I can do to help. Not relevant but that's just an example.

I think I have retrograde mercury it's in 9th though and in Taurus. Taurean mercuries are measured in what they say so it can take a while to get their words out.
I also used to get my words wrong, not so much stuttering or stammering. Guess what? Most people don't notice or care. I would say people losing interest is probably more in your head. Best thing is not to overthink it. One tip I heard was to focus on the other person rather than what is in your head (whether that be sweating, stammering, 100 thoughts a minute) and you usually find their are spaces where to talk. I don't do it, but mirroring works e.g.
"I'm going to the opera tonight"
You: "going to the opera!"
Him: "Yes to see Carmen"
You "Carmen?"
Him "I've never seen it before"

That's really good advice but my brain operates at a really high frequency so my mouth is doing one thing and I'm thinking like ten steps ahead. I do overthink though everyone's thoughts reactions to what I'm saying and doing, how they react to my reactions, it's like I'm thinking 30 things at a time, and I tend to get bored really easily..

However I’m not nervous speaking in front of a large group. I can give presentations quite easily.

Exactlyyy if someone's asks me something like at the spot my mind goes blank!! I need to time to process it contemplate it and then decide. 😅 Specially when it's a mathematical question I'm just staring with a blank face even if I do know the answer. No wonder I'm so bad at interviews

I have it. It’s a mess and has gotten worse over time, probably affected by the shitty progressions in my chart. I write better than I speak and don’t like speaking in front of people. One on one Im ok or with small groups. I’m already kind of introverted but I think it makes me appear even more so. I can’t defend myself verbally so I avoid altercations.
