The people are interesting too. You know everyone pretty much makes the same lame salary of 20 or 30 dollars per month? Doctors, engineers, etc. The tousist industry is where you want to work with tips coming in and so on. So many highly educated people working those resorts.

I wonder if the Americans will get in there and what effect it will have?

Yeah it seemed like the people there tried to make the best out of what they have. The embargo has taken its toll and I don't know if the sanctions placed will be lifted any time soon. It's unfortunate when governments are in conflict and the people suffer for it.

Just a quick Aqua related vent in order to process my thoughts:

Soooo the Aqua I was dating turned out to be an entitled right wing racist homophobe who enjoys dating Latina/Mexican/Hispanic females to demean them & make them feel worthless. Of course I am not one to subject myself to a toxic relationship & removed myself from the equation, deleted him on all social media platforms and of course he messaged me a few (pg-13) hurtful words.

It's insane how you can connect w & have so much in common w people who are that psychotic! So scary!

Do you guys think I as a grown woman should expand as to why I had a change of heart in case he doesn't understand what he is subconsciously doing... or just not feed further into the shit show & let this grown man figure his life out on his own? WWAD? Nothing he could say or do would ever make me feel safe around him because of his white supremacy, so idk if it's even a bright idea to expand on my actions, for all I know he could be fully aware of this racial hatred that he harvests (though one of his besties is Hispanic so idk)

There were definitely red flags! Mind you this was a relationship that I cut short within the month of getting to know him. At first he was subtle as to not ruffle my feathers, said both of his previous gifs were Latina but then.... Exactly. What is HE missing lol. This is why I thought that he likes to date them in order to demean them? He did comment a few times that he enjoys dominating/being dominant (sexually which was fine w/ me as I am a sub behind closed doors, outside of the bedroom? good luck to him because I like being treated like a Queen.)

He is from a rtizy place in Northern California, his parents left him a condo and his gramps was the mayor of the town many moons ago who left him a nice amt of dinero when he passed away. This is partly why he fails to understand or sympathize w/ the struggle of middle/lower class citizens.

Not sure what the psychology behind exclusively dating a race one belittles on a day to day would be.

He said he exclusively likes Latina women so I fail to understand why he would talk shit about my race/ ethnicity/ cultural background. I even stated I was multicultural in addition to being American and he went on a rant as he usually does to state that he hates multicultural people because that is what makes things like Brussels happen...He said he was mostly european and seemed jealous that colored people can say black pride, mexican pride, asian pride, but if he says white pride it is frowned upon. I told him he should let the flags of his roots fly, hes dutch & scandinavian, by all means do it. I used to have a chill ass friend who was German & very proud of it. What made it ok is that he wasnt hateful of other races in fact he was accepting of everyone, most importantly himself despite History telling him to be hush hush about being so German lol But he had his German flag and embraced his race and thats ok to do!!

Anyway, he also stated that Europe wanting to be helpful & more inclusive/ multicultural that they LET the Brussels terrorist attack happen is what he said (which is true, if they would have been cold hearted and not allowed so many refugees in to Europe things would be a lot different, Idk if for better or worse!). And then he goes on this long ass rants about Umerikuh this and Umerikuh that. Basically concluding that America should only be white because (his words) blacks bring crime and ghettos and Mexicans bring minimum wage down because they accept jobs under the minimum. He is making $ 0 dollars right now and living off of grampas life insurance money. An illegal immigrant is basically making more than he is right now even if its way below a livable wage & working jobs HE would NEVER dare to work so.... He needs to shut his lazy privileged entitled ass up.

Sigh. I do not care to understand him. The fact that he would erase me from existance in MY HOME is enough for me to call him on his shit. I was born and raised in the US & he wants to vote for a president that will send me to a country I have only been to very rarely! Really!? This is what I didnt understand, he was very contradicting, one minute stating white people should not accept colored people and another minute hes charming a Latina girls socks off. Hes a confused person with alot of inner turmoil.

That was a wall of text and i honestly dont think any of that made sense. Its late and I just got home from the city... will return another time to read my word vomit. gnight.

I admit I did really like him because Ive never met anyone Ive had that much in common with so yes, I was devastated to find out that hes that ignorant. Wish I could have enlightened him BUT I feel the situation was a bit too dangerous (he has anger issues too) for me to do anything to change his mind. I thank my stars that I was smart enough to walk away unscathed.

what'd you all do today so far for the beautiful weekend??

we rode our bikes and walked along the woods and visited some museums too, and going to the zoo tomorrow.




it's also getting so warm and the daylight is longer we can tell. We can even eat outside on our patio tables. Still early spring too.

I think official, March 21 is official start of spring.

I love gardens and love eating outside during the summer hot days.

can't wait for summer!! it's still kind of cold at night right now.
