Aquarius Male Friend Suddenly Stops Answering Text

Hi. My Aquarius male friend and I do texts each other almost everyday. He shares a lot of personal stuff to me like photos and videos and information about his family although we have not seen each other yet in person since we live in different countries. We text each other everyday but then he suddenly stops reading my text for a number of days now. But I texted him everyday since the initial absence asking how he was or if there's something wrong going on. It didn't show the "seen" icon so maybe he hasn't read it or he could have just swiped it , ignoring it. Could he not be opening his messenger at all and deliberately ignoring me? Why so suddenly ignoring my texts when he used to answer them everyday? Our relationship is platonic although I have feelings for him that's why it's a big deal for me. But I also don't want to tolerate behavior like this when being ghosted of sort.

So, the questions are:

1) Why would an Aquarian suddenly not answer texts when you used to texts each other everyday.

2) What's the best approach when he comes back and texts you again after so many days of absence or ignoring my texts? Because my instinct is to confront him with it because I don't want to be a doormat that people would just ignore me and come back like nothing happens. But I also like him, so what's the best way to approach him without making it a deal breaker of our friendship?
