That is definitely something my aqua would do. He is especially blunt and mean to people he doesn't care much for. Though, for some reason these people keep coming back to talk to him. He is very good at using words to hurt people (on purpose). On the other hand, he is also extremely good at making people like him when he knows he can get something out of them. His social skills are pretty diverse, which I admire.click to expand
well your aqua sounds like he can be my mental twin when i want to hurt somebody i know the RIGHT thing to say to get to them and in my school i know i can get something from the people there so hey why not get them to like me 😄

Thats another thing I like about aquas. Ask them a question and you get the truth! So refreshing! If I didn't want to know your real answer, I wouldn't have asked the question. I'd rather you tell me what you really think than sugar coat it and tell me what I want to hear.click to expand

I see way more gem and libra hate than aqua hate. I'll be reading a thread that has nothing to do with libras, then all of a sudden people start bashing libras. And I'm like where did that even come from? Or, people will just come into a thread on the libra board and drop off hate nuggets in a thread that has nothing do with what they're saying! That's my fav. I think I'm the only one over there who isn't totally chilled out to the max. So I get all irritated and fire one back at 'em. Ugh....lol. I try to ignore people but sometimes I can't help myself!
I'm all for people being free to their opinions. But when they express it in a malicious way, that's when it bothers me.

anyway...i want to share this, because it seems some of you care too much. Caring is awesome yes, but in this vein...*sigh*
if a person or person(s) try and elevate your ego, and say how wonderful you are, and ect and boost it (as i've seen in real life and in movies, films) and then turn around and backstab you, snickering to their buddies, "look at her/look at him being all egotistic and thinking they are the best" when all the while, it was those people who had done the backstabbing putting you up on the pedastal laughing all the while.
I've seen it alot. That's why the suspiciousness. The only ego balm that is HONEST is one from your parents that LOVE YOU for who you are, your significant other, your children ect, because they have no motivation to HURT you. They love you all for your flaws and virtues. We should be able to trust them on a deeper level because they are your family and they are the loves of your life. Sure, on another intracate level, we can get into disagreements but there's loyalty there.

^^^That's an interesting view. Though, if I'm understanding what you're saying, to me at least, I don't fully agree. I'd rather have a stranger give me an 'ego boost' rather than those close to me, because in a way, I feel they're almost obligated to. If you do well on a test and you come home to tell your parents, of course they're going to say 'good job, you're awesome', etc. Same with an s/o. While they're sincere most of the time, they're going to want to stay on your good side, too. I just feel like those things aren't as genuine and that they're more fake. But, if I stranger came up to me and said "Wow, good job on winning that art project. I saw it and it was really nice. You can be a professional!", it would have much more of an effect on me. But, as far as trusting goes, that would depend on how trusting you are as a person. I'm not worried about being back stabbed, etc, because to me, that kind of stuff dosn't hurt. I just move on from childish things like that. I don't have time to waste to stop and worry about whether people will turn around and do a 180 on me or not. I give compliments and 'ego boosts', because it's how I feel. I feel like it should be okay to say nice things that you mean. It's interesting to see other people's point of views on that.

UNLESS there's something suspicoius going on...like if they want to get MORE from you in a shady way. Never know....

Also a stranger coming up to you because you did something beautiful, somethng artistic. What kind of stranger? Was it a man who thought you would look nice on his mantel?? You never know. He probably thought secretly your art wasn't all that but wanted YOU for a trophy instead. It's all perspective you see. Though in a work place, if you have a wonderful employer ect then you dont have to worry about getting taken in when the boss wants to give you a diamond necklace, wishing he could have you for more than dessert. *puke*

I think that Aquarius and Scorpio have a lot of correlations in what they like and their attitudes towards situations....
Just Scorpios motivations and Aquarius motivations are probably slightly different and for damn sure they both go about things in very different ways but it is ultimately to attain the same damn thing.
I'd say all fixed signs are relatively the same I guess but Scorpio/Aquarius are closer to being similar...
Who knows maybe we could say that Leo/Taurus is closer to being similar too I never really thought about it for sure...

Like I dunno but a lot of times(this could only apply to the immature ones)when I meet an Aquarius and I don't know they are Aquarius the crazy shit they talk about with me usually gets me thinking they are just plain dumb!?

Funny thing is I bet I have this same effect on other people and I just don't practice enough introspection to realize it. Anyways, after I actually open my ears and really listen to what they are saying and get to know them.... I end up being given a WAKE UP call and realize that this person is far deeper then I realized initially... and far sharper as well... I usually end up respecting them a lot more as result too. Then I find out ...they are Aquarius.

We are bird icon buddies! I didn't think of it in terms of work or school, though those conditions do provide more competition and thus, probably backstabbing. I've seen enough topics on these boards about work place drama, etc. I'd say, I'm always willing to give people the benefit of a doubt, first. Though, if something were to appear out of place, I would probably become more suspicious in a working environment. While I say I can trust stranger's words, I do think I have a good sense of who is a bad character and who is not. So, when I say I would trust what strangers say, it would be the ones who give off good vibes. Family and those close to me, I still say have an obligation of sorts. I'm convinced half my family only talks to me because of niceties.

You want to believe, and it's wonderful to believe then your heart hurts cause you just got hurt again due to being delusional about people. You get vulnerable and they take advantage of that vulnerability.
But yes, usually "good" vibes help alot, trusting your intuition always.
I trust my family though, so i guess it depends on the individual's families and their histories behind it. *nod*
And about it being male...well it's probably WORSE if the perpetrator was a woman cause women vs. women are the worst! they want to get the best man, the best job, the best everytihng and stomp you down to the ground. It's horrible. Sometimes you believe that womankind should stick together and be gal pals and help eachother.But that's not always the case see??
They will tear you down, make you look bad to your boss, or your group of friends and then what? You feel bad cause you chose some friends who you thought were loyal to you only to find out that they were only friends with you to get the goods? To get into your circle so they can tear you down, find out your vulnerabilities and then report to the boss by twisting the way you work or your ethics? Gah! so much! it's a terrible world out there 😢

Oh don't worry. I haven't ever seen that in action in real life either. I'm just imagining it, so it gets a bit depressing.
I read way too many books, and watch a lot of films that surround those themes. Get a bit caught up. I accept that it happens out there, but it's still sad.
Besides, if they go and do that kind of thing, then what they consider best to get to the top or whatever really isn't the best, when after all, the goal was way too easy, or something like that.
