Aquas and friendship.
I might as well weigh in.
I'd divide friendships in 2 categories - friends who I can trust and who I can't trust. I don't have a whole lot of friends which I can trust and in all honesty, I highly value the reliability they offer. I do not open up, as I don't think anyone even cares about how I really feel. If I can't trust someone 100% , then I will not let my guard down or open up.
I have always had trust issues and I don't feel comfortable when someone starts exposing me. My trust can only be lost, and not gained.
I have 3 shitty 12th house placements and I am depressed, deep down. No one seems to care about or understand me and I end up feeling isolated.

Aquas and the Aqua dominant seem to very interested in human nature. My best friend and I converse a lot on tells and unconscious cues from others that are indicative of things about them. We're both similar in that we only fully trust those that have proven themselves in situations where the pressure was on and/or there was something at stake. You'd be surprised at the number of people that either wilt under pressure or their first impulse is to think of themselves. I've always liked the quote "Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it." I feel like I'm someone that friends can always count on when the chips are down and I like that as a characteristic in others too.

I'm very guarded but open in other ways, there are things that I will share with my friends of 10yrs but still hide other things.
I don't hide because I wanna keep it a secret but because I don't expect them to help me with it.

Awww I'm almost 29 and my best friend from High school is a Leo ❤
She and I have been very close even though she only lived here for 2 years and moved back to her country. We have always had contact thru email, then messenger, MySpace and other older and newer social network, and not we are able to talk pretty much every day or so to at least check on each other and our love life, family life, we guide each other we are true to each other to mean the things we say Good or Bad.
That is very sweet, friendship is not going out clubbing together or stuff like that, is being there for each other even though we can't be together in any other way.

I don't put friendship on a pedestal as astrologers seem to think.
it's not even that big to me, but if I have a good friend/best friend I can "connect" to on a deeper level like I do with my cancer girlfriend with pisces moon/cap mars, or like my best friends from high school ect then it's because they understood me and I understood them, on a deeper level. nothing superficial. they accept me deeper than anything else. My pains and woes and suffering and their hardships too, and pains and woes without judgement.

Our is the sign of friendship. We know how it's done. I said somewhere before that Aqua energy wants/needs reciprocation in actions, not words. If principle of reciprocity is missing, then so is an Aqua. I want 50/50 in any relationship.

I have a lot of friends but most I am not really close to. Although I often am surrounded by people I often feel people don't really know me very well. I am comfortable to open up about somethings but there is a lot about myself that no one really knows. I do let my close friends know me but often if i'm down or not feeling good I don't let people know. I'm unsure if this is an aqua moon thing or because I am a gemini.

I really love all the aquas in my life. they're so special
I don't mind their selective cautious approach when it comes to who they let in, because once i got to know them in deeper level i realized how giving and loyal they are. just like you said, I feel like I mean a lot to them (its mutual) and they defo treat me differently than others. I think its good to be selective when you have accepting and giving nature so people don't take advantage of the gem that is you.
I seriously feel super cool and lucky to be in my aquas' life.
type of people who i know got my back. I dont even feel the need to explain myself around them, guess the longass process of getting into each other' lives, helped us understand each other better. they dont easily jump to conclusion, despise drama and I'm a big fan of their 'no hard feelings' approach to everything, type of people who will always be your friend. they know how to appreciate the good times, I appreciate that.

I knew I didn't have that much ambition or was as driven as Capricorns are often described as. What disappoints me is that there hasn't been as much information on the cusp signs that I've found online. Maybe I just need to look harder though. I also hate how I can act so different at times, or think of so many different ways I can approach something but not really know which is the right thing to do. I also have Aquarius mercury and mars so maybe that's why
What's your moon sign and what have your experiences been like with earth/water suns versus air/fire sun signs? Which ones do you feel like you click more with or are comfortable with?

It kinda relates to how I've been unwittingly basing my decisions and opinions more on astrological signs of myself and other people, which is probably not good. Work like a Cap..today was my 41st consecutive day of work of 10+ hour days (have tomorrow and Wednesday off though 🙂) but I'm taking 3 months off this year because I value freedom and freedom of choice like an Aqua. Aquas and the Aqua dominant seem to very interested in human nature. My best friend and I converse a lot on tells and unconscious cues from others that are indicative of things about them. We're both similar in that we only fully trust those that have proven themselves in situations where the pressure was on and/or there was something at stake. You'd be surprised at the number of people that either wilt under pressure or their first impulse is to think of themselves. I've always liked the quote "Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it." I feel like I'm someone that friends can always count on when the chips are down and I like that as a characteristic in others too.
What disappoints me is that there hasn't been as much information on the cusp signs that I've found online. Maybe I just need to look harder though. I also hate how I can act so different at times, or think of so many different ways I can approach something but not really know which is the right thing to do. I know what you're saying about being conflicted. Aries moon wants to go, go, go and is somewhat child-like. While Cap Sun is mature and is like 'let's think about this for a second.' Aqua Rising is like 'but have you thought about this.' I'm at my best when I'm combining all three using strong intuition and acting instinctually in the moment..it allows me to recognize things early which is always useful from a timing standpoint.

I know for me I am VERY selective on who I let into my inner circle, I am assuming most of you are the same? I sometimes wonder if it’s my Scorpio rising that keeps me so guarded or if this is truly an Aqua thing.
I will say once I let someone in, they mean everything to me and if something happens to effect that friendship, it cuts me to the core. Am I the only Aqua like this? Not sure if it’s because I do cherish those that I let in so much more as I don’t do that with just everyone. I’m at a loss as to why it impacts me so much. Hence the thread. Maybe others feel this way too, or maybe I’m just messed up (aren’t we all on some level LOL).
I invest a lot into those I call friend, maybe too much sometimes, but then I get told I “disappear”, but I’m right here or there as the case may be, so I don’t understand it. Maybe because I’m not one to express my emotions? Not always the one to reach out first?
Do we as Aquas, place undue expectations on others? I don’t think I do, but maybe I do and don’t even realize it.
