I do that all the time. Since I'm like that, I normally make/stay friends with people who don't have withdrawal issues. I like to come and go as I please. If I feel obligated to keep in touch periodically, then I feel confined.

I can go months - days without talking to friends and I don't fare well with people who whine and pout about my absences. No, I'm not a fair weather friend. When I get busy, I don't have time to socialize and I expect my loved ones to understand that.

Oh! Ok then I shouldn't have to worry. I've never told him about it bothering me because I honestly don't mind it. Kind of figured that it's just who he is.

It's just that this time, it's more than a month and that kind of worried me a bit and of course, I miss talking to him. At the same time, my gut says that it's one of those, "I'll get back to you once I sort this out so could you please just chill and get on with your life first since we can talk later anyways?" things.

^ nailed it. Had this happen to me today. I'm busy with a huge project and I get to my phone to see someone with over 8 messages complaining that I'm ignoring them and must be deleting their messages. I even told this person about my project before hand when I took a break. Sorry it took me 7hrs to get back to my phone but I have a life and shit to do. I'm seriously thinking about dropping them because its not the first time they've done this.

Op, it doesn't sound like you're hounding them so you should text them at a time you know they usually have available. Don't make an issue about the lack of communication just talk to them as you would. An aqua can literally think days are minutes and months are days.

I did but each time, there was no reply. Basically, it's been zero replies for over a month.

I know what I'm going to do, which is just leave him be. You can't force someone to respond to you if he doesn't want to. And I am beginning to feel like an idiot with every unanswered text.

Not to excuse his behaviour but I was just wondering if this is something that just happens and I need to get used to it or whether it's a sign for me to consider that the friendship is fizzling out.

I'm beginning to get paranoid because usually, it's my guy friends who tend to be quite clingy and are the ones who'll be all up in my business all the time. This time, with him not replying at all, I'm beginning to feel like the clingy one in the friendship.

That's what I'm afraid of. Time will tell, of course, if he considers this friendship worth keeping or not.

I hope your friend responds to your text. After a month of silence, a reply, no matter how short, shouldn't be too hard, no? And yep, it'll be his loss!

He replied today, had a few exchanges, I didn't mention anything about the silence. I said I miss you at some point and he said me too.

It's up to him now to contact me. I won't text again. I did my part.

I miss people terribly-- that I care about. No one really knows how much I miss them, it would scare them. I keep that vulnerable side well hidden.

Not sure how others feel.

I mean when I said I miss you to my aqua friend, he instantly replied me too. So, I'm not really sure about your friend. If you had a good thing going, he's definitely thinking about you.

I'm starting to think for my situation, I did something to upset him.

Maybe it's your case too?

Funny bunch those Aquas.

It always makes me feel more at ease with my Aqua man, when subjects like this are discussed! I'm in a similar situation atm... Though there is a distance between us, but 130 miles distance... I have posted before, we have been having an online, on phone friendship/relationship for about 4 months and we finally met 2 weeks ago! We really got on well and had a lovely relaxing afternoon together, and at the end of it he gave my the highest hug, really squeezed me tight and then a few little kisses _??_ But since then i have hardly heard from him... He is a very busy guy with a high profile job and has his children most weekends, when i asked if we will get together again? He just stressed out and said he just doesn't have the time atm... So I'm in limbo _??_

It's normal for aquas to "disappear". My aqua friend does that on a daily basis! Certain hours in his day he'll say nothing to me and I used to get butt hurt and sad about it...but now I know when he's focused on something that's all he's focused on and nothing else matters at that moment. But as soon as that specific thing is solved or manageable he'll pop his little head out and act like he hasn't been silent for hours.

They expect everyone to understand this as they assume everyone has their own lives and don't think anyone should be THAT FOCUSED on them. So if he's a true friend and he hasn't replied to you at all this past month, whether its a bad sign or a normal sign. You should just continue living your life.

if he's a good friend he'll contact you eventually.

Exactly. People come and go in our lives. We all can't expect them to stay forever as much as we would love for them to be. THis is one of my biggest lessons of all that I have had to learn over the past few years.

People grow spiritually and needs/wants change along with it. Sometimes that means changing their environment or people they know. Or both.
