Bran-I'm not so sure I agree with the last paragraph-people are subjective and not always logical, when things start getting rough, an "They are different!" argument may sway some people.
That's in real life, at least-I don't really see a problem discussing such things on forums.

Maybe it should be allowed just in a controlled enviroments, like debate clubs or something.
Still, I'm not sure.

A lot of people are, I have a lot of experience on the subject.

Could you guys stop "trash" taking users who are not on to defend themselves. It is an incredibly low down thing to do. The discussion started touching on the question of whether cliques exist or not. But then primegen started naming names.

I happen to have nothing at all against Qbone so when someone else is "trash talking" him I take exception to it. I have found him always to be pleasant and very helpful when I have sought advice. He may well have said something to annoy you primegen but you need to realise that you are just one out of many users on this board who have opinions that may often differ from yours. This doesn't mean you can moan about them and use other threads to belittle and demean these users. Ironically this is a good illustration of the crap side to cliques.

And while this thread is actually on topic for now I will say that when users try to back up their opinions, comments and mindsets by mentioning other users, that is resorting to clique-ism to imply that you have a group of other users behind you in what you say or what you think. Primegen uses this technique frequently when he is trying to put other users down. He has used it with me to try to convey how he he right and he has the support of all his comrades in some disgusting things he says.

This aspect of clique-ism is not constructive and might deter users from feeling that their opinion has any validity unless they get some kind of recognition or respect from other users. They certainly shouldn't feel that or let it stop them from saying what they think and I say that all users shouldn't give 2 shits if another user is bad mouthing them and just go ahead and say what's on their mind and exercise their freedom of speech

You're missing the point I'm making which is that it is cowardly to bitch about people when they're not there because you are painting a completely 100% biased pciture of this person based on your own subjective resentments and grudges. That is pretty cowardly imo. Before you started a rant aimed at certain users it was an objective discussion about cliques on the board.

And me liking Qbone has no bearing on his rows with you. The fact that you cannot differentiate these 2 situtions and treat them seperately is your problem not mine or Qbone's.

Once I disagreed with Qbone and he wasn't all that bad with the name-calling.

And how about those incredibly creepy caves in your backyard? Not just ANYONE has those.

All cats need their own "toilet". My cat has his own little room, albeit it's the laundry room, but he knows it's his. His litter box is in there. He has 2 beds - one in the living room behind one of the sofas and the other is in my bedroom near the front window. Plus, he has a window perch where he'll lay on and watch the birds and other things of interest.

My cat doesn't eat "human" food. He's strictly Iams.

Primegen, you don't have to justify or defend your snootiness to anyone. I's just pickin' on ya. (super snoot)

I take my Siamese to kitty daycare once a month. He gets pampered and groomed. Check out his picture on my profile. He's a beaut!

That's Mr. Maxx. He's think he has it rough. LOL

I rescued Maxx at the SPCA in Austin. He was neglected and abused by previous owners, so it took a while for him to trust a human again. He put on weight, his coat got shinier and his love is endless now! He's a sweet boy.
