Update: he’s revealed to me he isn’t ready for a relationship, I didn’t even ask him about it and I already knew this but this time he explained why he’s not ready and he said he’s trying to progress in life and it’s all a headache. So I have known the aqua since middle school. It's a long, complicated story but we have been sleeping together for 7 years now.
We did try a relationship when we were 18 but we broke up because we went to colleges that were across the

This guy really confuses me.
-He says he likes me to all of his friends.
-All of his friends claim that he likes me.
-He shows subtle body language signs of liking me.
-He is CONSTANTLY STARING at me.
-He is always at my rescue; he is constantly defe
So we spoke, and of course didn’t last long — I’m convinced it’s not me now because I’m not doing ANYTHING wrong for him to keep running away once he feels like he’s getting too close. I get that he probably doesn’t want a relationship and I know he has strong feelings for me but this is just ridiculous now.
He dissapeared after mentioning he wants to come and keep me company, of course I know how he is so I just replied “when you’re ready” he then asked how far I lived now (I moved) and I replied “2 hours from you x” which he just decided not to open the message and completely ignore me because of course he’s probably regretted saying that and I’ve probably overwhelmed him and he’s thinking that I’m expecting him to see me now which I know what he’s like and really don’t expect anything.
I just wish I knew how I could detach myself I don’t know why I allow him to keep putting me on this emotional rollercoaster and I’m so frustrated with it all but if I tell him he runs away like I literally can’t do anything except probably be formal and give him one word answers that will probably be great communication enough for him to stick around
