I don't think it's intentional or done out of spite, but if you think of Aqua's ruling planet, Uranus, it's unstable and unpredictable so it may be an unconscious behaviour to sustain the restlessness within. The "mad professor" analogy is one i heard that seems to fit....always looking for a new invention...testing out new theories etc ..
The woman who runs a bookshop near me was with an Aqua guy for a while and he used to flirt in front of her....like really over the top, he did it with me a few times until I called him out in front of her, like he was saying stuff like wanting to have sex with me. So i says to her, did she mind the way he carried on and she says "as long as it's only flirting, I don't mind...
Fast forward and I saw her and she tells me she found him in bed with another woman.
She's a Pisces....she didn't handle him too well, he needed more of a challenge, she didn't set the boundaries and he pushed pushed pushed and she allowed it.
Just before he married someone else, he started to sext the Pisces. He called to her with flowers and she threw them at him and told him to fuck off. He realised too late she was his love, but the test, test, testing backfired...

Well I'm not understanding the reason you're sharing your negative opinions with Aqua men, on a thread requesting info on an Aqua woman's thought process.
There are so many ways that Aqua men and women are similar, but usually not in relationship matters.

I knew three Aqua women who were in rships. All of them were straightforward, tough and direct, two of them dominant...the third seemed softer until her Aqua bf started messing with her, push-pull and then cheating on her. She trashed his car and ripped up all his clothes
You can say we test but I think in our eyes it's more like seeing how you react... wait that didn't sound nice, it's more like seeing what you're worth... hmm... seeing past your facade... hmm wait they all sound bad when I word it out.

There's also another one I know that literally gave her now husband a list of what she's after in a partner lol (like literally a LIST). So I can't say what goes on in the mind of women but I can say for certain these tests are generally harmless.

I think the smiling thing means she is checking something off in her head. It could very well be a test or reaction she predicted.. I have been told numerous times that I have a grin that appears on my face like the joker. It makes people wonder what I am thinking. My boyfriends tell me it is beautiful and scary at the same time.
I don't do it intentionally it just happens sometimes for numerous reasons. for example, most of the time my grin happens when the person is talking a load full of BS that I have just clearly picked up on and i'm laughing because they really think they are telling me all the things I want to hear. If your angry and she is smiling something is def going on in her head. It could very well be she is happy with the type of reaction you are giving to that situation and predicted that reaction.

May I ask what countries? Coz marrying to move somewhere (especially is the country is the US) is a huge deal and won't guarantee a green card. I know people who got rejected. Especially if you havnt been together for a long time. Just an FYI from someone who has been through it and knows people who have been through it.
At this point, I don't think moving is the best plan - yet. Its only been ,what, a few months? Neither of you should be thinking about moving yet if there's visa etc involved. Just from a personal perspective as a German who lived in the US for a long time.

I test my partners but not in a conscious way that a Capricorn intentionally does.
We simply feel our emotions but need time to understand them. Its not usually instant..unless one does a lot of work on that aspect. Such as myself, when I was younger I had a harder time dealing with it now its more and more conscious and more intentional. Can't speak for every aquarius but based on my placements. I've developed that side more and to be more mindful of how I come across. The beautiful commonality we share is our analytical mind but I found that it cancels each other out. While you analyze her she may be analyzing you and all. As a whole, we don't play games even though it comes across this way. It comes across this way because we are uncomfortable with any sudden emotions that develop. Unlike you cool virgos, we are unable to predict how we feel , we do try to be aware, be fair and all.
I come across this cap as scattered and inconsistent, but I see him the same way..its just a manner of timing. We share different times but have the same core. Likewise, virgo guys I've dated over time I found we have a lot in common ..particularly in fundamentals.

Aquarius on a whole need higher philosophies. We start from the ground up , into the crevices of the ground, to the highest mountain. By the time we reach to the top of the mountain , we look down and say "okay where to begin, what are the challenges, what are the weakness in me/ my team/ the person around me, what do I want? what do I need? what does that person want/ need? do we share the same madness? " Very "mental" haha sign. we are very in our head.disconnected from our bodies.
Everyone thinks we have no idea, but really we are only waiting for the best time to communicate it. ..one in which maximizes fairness and all. Now, as for cheating, that is not sign based but experiences as well. From an astrological perspective, aquarians have a rebellion side that is to fight for their rights and/or the rights of others.
As for games and such- we only do so if someone pisses us off but that doesn't necessarily mean "cheating". We just stop doing all that internal processing. As bottom line, we care about our freedom, when we love and care we are truly loyal. We give and sacrifice.
On one condition, are you willing to grow with them? be with them in their weirdest times?
Aquarians are the intellectuals of the zodiac..they can see right through ones choices of syntax and sentence structures to see what you really are putting down, smart and fair enough to give you your right to speak the way you need.
As of boredom and leaving partners- its not so much a superficial boredom, its when they see that they're partners and them are not growing together, its restricted, its automatically FUTURE PREDICTION that it will lead into boredom. As for showing feelings, we like it classy and genuine and authentic. Showing displays of it on facebook yet forgetting our birthday we will not feel good. Our minds lead us before we feel up to it..that is the con, a less developed aquarian will not be able to understand that ..THAT in itself is unfair to others (eg virgo/ capricorn are taking it slow first then decide if they are all in.
