My ascendant, venus, mercury and jupiter are aqua and I think I come across as a sweet compassionate, caring person, but I know I can infuriate people because I will always do my own thing

I have a moon in aquarius and I think it makes it harder for me to understand other peoples emotions. I hear them but I don't feel them sometimes. & that can come across as "uncaring". & when I don't understand, I don't pretend to, I just say something like "I
Don't get why you're mad" or "that's not a big deal to me". I can be laid back in that way. But in all actuality I do care, I just think I'm a more logical and rational thinker when it comes to other peoples issues. When it's my own I'm a drama queen, but that's my leo sun & 3 other planets in leo.

I knew someone very well who had Aqua Moon, Aqua Rising. At the time I didn't know his chart, only his Sun, so I couldn't make any astrological assumption.

He would seem, at times, to take the stresses and the horrors of the whole wide world upon his shoulders and vocalize about how things need to change. And he would stew. And this thing that was bothering him would continue to bother him, until he eventually melted his attentions into one of many different pieces of projects lying all around. Sometimes it came back between projects, sometimes not, and sometimes it was a whole new stressor of the world. His detachment was more in personal relationships. Someone close to him has some horrible thing happen to them? He HIMSELF would have something horrible happen to him? Oh, that's bad, but once the physical pain subsides (if there was any)... he's all better fairly quickly. My brother has Aqua Moon too and to a lesser degree, this matches him as well. Although he takes personal slights harder, they're gone quickly too.
