I am watching the movie depicting there lives this morning, "The Theory of Everything" and saw some many similarities with Jane Hawking and myself, I was near to tears of empathy and triumph.

I assumed she was an Aquarius because the traits I see in Jane I associated them with my Venus in Aquarius (my most dominant placement as I am also Venus dominant). Imagine my surprise to discover that she is not only an Aries but shares my birthday.

I see that he divorced her... lesson to Venus in Aquarius. However, I do not know that Jane Hawking is a Venus in Aquarius. Or, better yet, "no good deed goes unpunished."

So now, I will begin to explore their birth charts, synergy, overlay, and composite chart.... after, I finish the movie.

This is how you go deeper into astrology. Real life application.

Heyy.
I watched this movie on my birthday and when i googled, saw that it was her birthday too! I'm march 29 Aries too! 🙂
I was pleasantly surprised. Like woah. Lol.

That movie ... I have no words.. I'm the type that gets easily carried away and...this movie...

I never admit this but the first person I wanted to marry seriously was a physically handicapped man. I was very serious and almost decided to tell my parents on many occasions.

I don't have that much free time. But, I intend to fully explore and post.

RumiL, hi. I too have a Gemini Moon. That seems to be where our similarities end. However, Sun/Moon is very significant placement sharing.

And, Venus in Pisces and Venus in Aquarius have a lot in common. Something like a continuation on a theme.

I checked it out and it's so sad.

he is an atheist and didn't find her "faith" in Christianity strong enough it seemed. I haven't seen the film, but saw the trailers and reviews.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Hawking
In the same interview, Hawking noted an "irony" in her faith-based strength to support her ex-husband in light of his well-known and "profound" atheism.[4]

no matter what, it's difficult what she went through, with children and being a care-taker to her husband. Care-taking is a very difficult job/work even if they are not your family.

many geniuses that I know, are athiests. my last ex, with 160-165 I.Q, was an atheist, but I had a strong "faith", and oftentimes i'd talk about my own faith, and in turn he couldn't even fathom being a true atheist. so he called himself an agnostic.

I think that geniuses in general, have a hard time grasping beliefs.

Well.. People say Aries and Gemini are the types to get bored..need excitement and all that stereotypical bullshit especially associated with Gemini.. Look what a great soul Jane is!!
aries are very smart, highly intelligent, and Gemini only helps that. it's not a wonder she fell for him, I saw that Stephen Hawking has Aries mars. No wonder he understand her Aries sun.

and he has Gemini Jupiter.

Virgo moon. Every genius I know has a virgo dominance in his chart. Or the opposite, Pisces. But maybe because of the other energies in the chart too.

it's hard to just pinpoint an energy. Gemini/Virgo is just naturally mercurial anyway.

Stephen hawking was overly critical towards her and he wanted a woman that didn't challenge him, so he could be the master of his mind and his theories while wifey cleaned up after him and fed him.

Jane had her own brain and didn't want to be subordinate.

Some men don't see how difficult it is for a woman to take care /nurture and how hard work it is.

I can't see a genius like Hawking or any genius want a woman who is lacking in the brain department. You would think they'd love a woman who challenges them. I don't know about Hawking, but he talks through computers and other apparatuses. I don't know how strong his ego is, and i'd have to check out his other wives to see what types he chooses.

ahhhh- A!

that's why he left jane.....eeek.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Hawking

By the 1980s, Hawking's marriage had been strained for many years. Jane felt overwhelmed by the intrusion into their family life of the required nurses and assistants.[98] The impact of his celebrity was challenging for colleagues and family members, while the prospect of living up to a worldwide fairytale image was daunting for the couple.[99][100] Hawking's views of religion also contrasted with her strong Christian faith and resulted in tension.[101][100][102] In the late 1980s, Hawking had grown close to one of his nurses, Elaine Mason, to the dismay of some colleagues, caregivers and family members, who were disturbed by her strength of personality and protectiveness.[103] Hawking told Jane that he was leaving her for Mason[104] and departed the family home in February 1990.[105] After his divorce from Jane in 1995, Hawking married Mason in September,[106][105] declaring "It's wonderful — I have married the woman I love."[107]
----

she wasn't even taking care of hawking anymore. So he fell in love with another nurse, Mason, who he married only shortly

I thought so...because how is she ABLE to be a care-taker AND get her degree— they had nurse(s), AND assistants.

Geminis are not heartless. At a young age, we feel people won't get attached and we don't assign particular deep emotions to experiences nor do we expect others to fall in love deeply. But once we have experienced a heartbreak, we mellow down on our fun side and take other's emotions seriously. It is a lesson that comes with a price tag for everyone involved 😢
My ex became a heavy user, I worked hard for more than three years to get him out of it. It was no easy job making him stay out of it. I was working two jobs to make ends meet and his rehab expenses.
Geminis are emotional too
But it takes a while to get us 😢
But thank you for your lovely comment :-)

Aww 😢 🤗

I'm sorry you both went through difficult times.. I know my Gemini bestie is very supportive, and very caring towards people going through difficulties..

My bestie is a Taurus moon/rising like you. When she broke up with her boyfriend, it was....very painful to see her. But whenever anyone was going through a tough time - she'd put hers aside and try to bring them out of it.

I think Gemini's are very very badly generalized!😢

I didn't expect the topic to lend itself towards care-taking. Thank you all for posting. I read and contemplated each post. I was going towards a complete astrological perspective which still applies as I am studying the charts.

However, it is appropriate as I have just finished nursing my mother back to health and independence. She was dying of colon cancer and stomach cancer and had no one that was willing to care for her. She was on the street. The home she was living in kicked her out while she was in the hospital. She is a very unbalance Libra with Anti-social personality disorder. I do not blame anyone for not taking her in and she has been kicked out by many people, husbands, etc. She had diabetes (cured while with me), has heart disease, has third stage kidney failure, and high blood pressure. She had to leave as she began to heal she also began to return to her efforts of master-manipulator.

While taking care of my mother, my Scorpio sister committed suicide. Some may have seen my post a year ago about her being committed. I was going to take her on. However, I was too late and she ended things weeks before Christmas. I spend my Christmas planning my sister's memorial and in the hospital on and off with the person most responsible for her inability to cope with life, our mother. What a psychological conflict.

When my mother first arrived at my home, she was so afraid of death, she started talking of taking over souls, and spirits. I told her finally, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus" (phrase she then coined when I told her that the amount of sugar she was eating could cause her cancer to return).

A Gemini here posted about Geminis having emotions. Everyone has emotions. It's just how deeply you feel them. My Scorpio sister felt them tremendously and extremely deeply. God rest her soul. I, because of my air placements am able to detach from them. No extreme is good. but, the ability to detach (air), with logic (air), with speed, strength and intuition (fire) is what I see... and many trines.

I am a responsibility addict. I replaced my mother with a second cat and a turtle. If you look in the "Secret Language of Birthdays," the meditation is "your responsibility for the world begins and ends with yourself." This is for March 29th Aries, me, Jane Hawkings, and all.

I heard about personality disorders, omg, that's so hard, no one will be able to deal with that without either running away or what your poor sister did. sorry to hear about your sister. Your mother is mentally sick to push her that far. how do people acquire this?

I looked it up

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisocial_personality_disorder

Signs and symptoms[edit]

Antisocial personality disorder is defined by a pervasive and persistent disregard for morals, social norms, and the rights and feelings of others. Individuals with this personality disorder will typically have no compunction in exploiting others in harmful ways for their own gain or pleasure, and can be manipulative and deceitful towards other people, achieving this through wit and a facade of superficial charm, or through intimidation and violence. They may display arrogance and think lowly and negatively of others, and lack remorse for their harmful actions. Irresponsibility is a core characteristic of this disorder: they can have significant difficulties in maintaining stable employment as well as fulfilling their social and financial obligations, and people with this disorder often lead exploitative, unlawful, or parasitic lifestyles.[8][9]

--

that's horrible. they basically have no moral or feelings for the rights/of others. no disregard.

she must have been a very unhappy person, because unhappy people who are deeply depressed take out their unhappiness on others. its so sad, but so many people actually have this. especially when they're getting very old, they feel inadequate and feel that they never got any happiness out of life. this kind of situation, you wonder if even they should turn to God, or religion to help them heal. Since sometimes medicine doesn't even help.

Lisa,

My mother was quite the happy individual. She was filled with joy when she thought she had found a new "host" in me. She has victimized a congregation or two... as she is now an ordained minister. I warned her current pastor. But, the Sag was too full of ego. I don't know if he understood me clearly.

This a psychological disorder so, I don't take it personally. There is no medication for what my mother has. When I moved her in I talked to her about her disorder knowing it would do no good.

Being raised by a mother with antisocial personality disorder made my sister bipolar.

I know of someone who is of bi polar I, as I've heard there are two levels of bi polarism. I is the worst, and the II is a lesser degree.

the first one needs a lot of medication to function in society. He is a Leo sun. He is from a single parent home, raised by his mother who he doesn't say anything bad about her, but she never has time for him. He is a good boy from what I see, a good young man who has even taken jobs as a caretaker to mentally disabled children and adults, and that's hard for a young man. His strength helped the adult disability for carrying and holding up while a woman would have a harder time.

I admire him a lot, and he's a good guy really. And the way he spoke of his mother is good, that she has her own business, but she never cooked for him, or stayed home, as she is too busy for her business. He still lives with her and she takes care of all the financial household needs as she makes good money. He on the other hand has had many mentally disorders such as the Bi Polar I. But he is a passive guy too.

sometimes, bi polarism comes from parents that are absent, even there is NO father in the scene ever, and his mother is absent from the home. True story.

i don't know how you managed to do it, your dominant air element in you helps a lot by detaching a lot and not to fight her everyday which will wear you down and take your soul. some people will run away in order to "survive" because living with that kind of person will drive you insane personally. no human being should be exposed to that, unless they have a professional background to help that individual. People go to university and study these cases extensively so they are able to cope with that type of individual. Leave it to the profressionals.
edit - I say leave it to the profressionals because that's RUINING their children's lives. You can't selfishly ruin your children's lives like that.

Lisa, no worries here. She was only here for about 8 months. My husband and children were complaining and I listened. I have a lovely family and a lovely life and just figured to whom much is given, much is expected. I know everyone in my extended family gasped when they found out I took her in.

Before this past year, I hadn't been around my mother on a day to day basis for over 25 years. She pretty much knew I'm not the one and kept her distance. I have a ferocious temper that is kept eloquently under control. I actually feared it rising inside like never before.

The role of child/parent have always been reversed between she and I. My uncle told me that my mother told him that she felt a net of protection around her while living with me.

Now, we're back to full peace and harmony.

From The Astrology Place Membership Site-----

The problems arising in the present are often fuelled by the unconscious, and the 8th house represents our psychic inheritance. The family demons may include death, abuse, emotional manipulation, nasty parental divorce, violence, suicide or mental illness. According to Jungian astrology, many 8th house people are born to be the “curse breaker” of the family The Astrology of Fate.Indeed, if the individual can wield such power, they can also bring profound healing. They have a talent for transforming, and their strong will power often equates with an all or nothing attitude.

Now, we're back to full peace and harmony.

it's sad about your mother, but she needs treatment badly, to be under medication. or her life will always be hell around others.

I've only heard first hand of type I and type II bipolar from those who have bi polar and have actually taken medication and theraphy sessions. However as I google. there are other types, and yes, 10-15% of bi polar victims end up suicidal and actually take their life. They do a lot of self- infliction.

A person affected by bipolar I disorder has had at least one manic episode in his or her life. A manic episode is a period of abnormally elevated mood, accompanied by abnormal behavior that disrupts life.

Bipolar II

Bipolar II is similar to bipolar I disorder, with moods cycling between high and low over time. However, in bipolar II disorder, the "up" moods never reach full-on mania.

Rapid Cycling

In rapid cycling, a person with bipolar disorder experiences four or more episodes of mania or depression in one year. About 10% to 20% of people with bipolar disorder have rapid cycling.

Mixed Bipolar

In most forms of bipolar disorder, moods alternate between elevated and depressed over time. But with mixed bipolar disorder, a person experiences both mania and depression simultaneously or in rapid sequence.

Cyclothymia

Cyclothymia (cyclothymic disorder) is a relatively mild mood disorder. People with cyclothymic disorder have m

If anyone understands Pluto in the 8th... you would understand. Jungian astrology suggests those people with Pluto in the 8th house are born to be the “curse breaker” of the family among many other things.
yeah I read that a lot.
i thnk that is very true. are you also 8th house?

edit - it's good you didn't expose too much of her to your family. it will take down the quality of life in your household. that's why professionals are the most apt at taking good care of your mother.
