I was a geisha today. It was very fun. But boy was I ever glad to finally take off the makeup and wig at the end of the day. That stuff was ITCHY.

Yep, that'd be me. :-) I had this really sticky i- style molding wax for hair smeared all over my face and neck so that the zinc oxide powder I used would have something to stick to. Worked really well, too. I had the makeup on from about 6 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. (at which time I was in the shower, scrubbing that crud off my face).

did it all come off?

I managed to inflict a few scratches on myself in the process, but all traces of makeup are gone. :-)

Me, too, energy. :-) I want to visit Japan. I think I might be able to swing it in about 5 years.

I've already decided on next year's costume: I wanna be She-Ra, Princess of Power. 😄

You realize I will now have to tease you incessantly with the nickname NikNak? ;-P

Not Japanese and not a mask, either. It was a ton of makeup and a black wig.

So that was an awesome compliment you just gave me on my geisha makeup. Thank you! :-) Took me an hour to apply all of it to my face and neck a get the eyes and lips done.

**raises eyebrows in surprise** Oh. That kind of a deal? As long as it doesn't involve me dressed as a geisha, massaging your back with my feet, I think I might be game.

Oh! That's a horse of a completely different color. Sure! I'll see if I can send you one as a souvenir whenever I go to Japan. :-)
