I gave the 17 year old 400 dollars to buy him a couple of outfits and whatever else he needs for the trip we're going on. He came back with one outfit and a pair shoes.Me: Where's the rest of the money?

I could see 400 going to one outfit and shoes... if he went out and bought expensive shit.
Example- ...let's say Jordans for example- 200-300 a pair.
Jeans- 80
Shirt-20.
About 400 right there.

If what he got didn't come close to totalling 400, then figure out where the hell that money went. That's bs.
Lol, my BF was visiting my house, and I was planning a movie night, but I had work after cleaning up the house. So I left snack purchasing up to my 17 year old Taurus brother. I gave him $ 40 and asked for the change back.
He texted me later, "Spent $ 64 on goodies, and I asked dad if he could reimburse me."
L.O.L. I didn't criticize him because I told him I trusted him with the task, and that whatever we didn't finish we'd have later. He took the task to heart and wanted to make sure I had what I needed for the mini-party, bless him. 😆

did he spend $ 75 on the outfit and you don't know where the rest of it went (weed? booze? some cookiemonster swindled it out of him?)
No he didn't spend it all on one outfit that's why I ask him where's the rest of the money. I told him to buy 2 outfits and a suit for our trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina because we are staying there for a week. He already had new shoes and other stuff he needs.

I hear ya! My son is Aries with Aries moon and mercury.
After the tornado, I gave him his portion of the money to replace his clothes, about $ 600 I think. He came back with two pairs of shorts, four shirts and one pair of shoes. Said he spent it all on clothes. I looked at the tags. I was like $ 120 for ONE shirt? Good golly.
Guess we have to go with them next time.

Yep my mother always gave me my own money to buy
my own stuff because I was responsible and she trusted me. That's why I gave him his own money. All he had to do was buy two outfits and a suit.
