With Part of Hyleg, what if there was a full moon on the day you were born? That was the case when I was born.

On Astro.com I generated a chart with my Arabic Parts. In an additional table I'm given Part of Hyleg (no need for me to use math to calculate) and it's pretty much bang on my moon, only about 22 seconds away, same sign (Gem). My moon and ascendant are very close (~ 9 degrees from each other). My moon is in my 1st house. Could that be correct for my Part of Hyleg?

Yeah I see no reason why not. It would just mean your mother's influence before birth was near total.

Thanks. Yes, it does appear that it's listed, along with many other Arabic Parts, with additional tables.

How could my Part of Hyleg affect me personally? Sorry, I am still trying to understand how Arabic Parts work. I can't find much interpretive help online so I imagine I'd have to read a book on this to learn more. Recommendations?

Yeah I see no reason why not. It would just mean your mother's influence before birth was near total.

Experiences built up in your Mercury will affect how clearly you see your own self image matching up with what you feel your parents wanted you to be. It's ruled by your Merc.

I'm making a reference book of the parts myself because yeah, it is sparse. The books I have aren't a good read, they're more concerned with translating from latin.

I feel like my self image very much matches what my mother hoped for, so would that tie in with my moon being bang on my POH?

Looking at the parts in my chart, there are a number of things that stand out with conjunctions (my Mercury is conjunct my Part of Fortune, for example, in the 7th house) and it makes me very curious about what this can tell me.

For some reason lately I feel like there is an important mystery in my chart to solve connected to destiny potentially, or maybe I'm just hoping there is, lol. 🙂

I read somewhere that you might do readings (for money). Is that so?

That seems ideal with the focus of the book. I'm tired of reading things that are needlessly complex so I'm turning my head sideways with crossed eyes as I try to understand them, lol.

I understand about the deadline not being firm, necessarily. But that gives me a rough idea, so I know it won't be months, most likely.

Good about my mother's hopes and my POH! I will have a look at her POH if I can and see if it might explain my grandmother's hopes for her and her self image. My mother has been studying astrology since the late 80s, off and on, so she will be interested too I'm sure.

Wow, very nice. The astrology is astrology, but when it leads to greater talks with the family that's something magic.

Agree! It's good that she's open to revealing such things and interested in astrology so I can reveal the technicalities of a question w/o hesitation if I want to.

If the rising is karmic it has less to do with your parents than your own personal goals based on your past life.

let's say you have a chart holder who is:

Libra Rising at 3 degrees

Full Moon happened at 10 degrees Capricorn right before their birthday

They were born with a natal Moon at 2 degrees Aquarius

Libra starts 180 degrees into the zodiac. You know that 3degLib = the 183rd degree of the zodiac wheel.

10deg Capricorn = 280 degrees

2deg Aquarius = 302 degrees.

Part of the Hyleg = 183 + ( 280 - 302 )

= 183 - 22 = 161 degrees

convert that back and you know the person's POH is at 11 degrees in Virgo. Ruled my Mercury.

Their meaning of life is fated according to the life experiences they understand through their natal Mercury and their transits and progressions in their Virgo house.

not everyone has the same experience with Mercury. So it's always best to talk with them over what's happened in their life so far to understand what memories and experiences have coloured their understanding if communication and the way they like to go about seeking new information (Mercury).

Last full moon before my birthday : 27.08.1988. But if I look online, it said it was in Pisces. I did 27.08.1988 midnight in my country and it says it's in Aqua, 25°32'. Bit confused with this part (also,do we need just the degrees or the minutes too? since minutes add to make degrees?)

I was born with a Natal Moon in Aries, 7°18'

Sag starts at 240 degrees into the zodiac, therefore 4degSad = the 243rd degree of the zodiac wheel

25deg Aqua = 325 degrees
7deg Aries = 367? or 07? degrees

Part of the Hyleg = 243 + (325 - 367) = 243 - 42 = 201 degrees. => 31 degrees in Libra. Ruled by Venus.

The idea is correct. Just a couple of things:

I have 04Pi22'59" for the Full Moon before your birthday

And 7 degrees Aries is always 7 degrees.

Strictly speaking I suppose we should count the minutes but it's not really going to make a difference except to people who's POH lands right at the end or beginning of a house.

How come you put 243 for Sag? Isn't it 244?

I got 571 then I just took away 360 to land on 181

i round that degree to 5 since it's so close? thought i'd leave it at 4

ok, i thought you would substract 360 but wanted to be sure.

so that means..181 = 1 degree of Libra, so I need to look at Venus transits and the house I have Libra in. I have Libra all through my 11th but the first degrees are in the 10th, where my Mercury is in, 10th house being Virgo + first few degrees of Libra

So...that means my career will kill me? Where should I look to make sense of this? What transits, focus on what planets.

Just point the way when you have time, tiz.

I'll figure it out hopefully. But any information is appreciated. 🙂

Oh I see what you mean now, that's a tough one yeah. The part is kind of intercepted in a house ruled by Virgo. I've never done one like this before.
