I would say it causes a huge level of PTSD and stress in the black community. The feeling of being under attack. Collectively it's racial trauma. Even in people who have not experienced incidents with police.
White people with no community experience of it ....don't think it is real. It's real.
Police are not scared. Black people are scared of the police.

I'm comparing Africans in America to the ones from their home country.
Believe it or not, looking outside of ur local news feed, a large percent African American community accepts gays. I would know because I'm a part of the community. A lot of church going blacks gay. African Americans are some of the most accepting people I know, even to our own detriment.
I think it's males from all communities who won't accept gayness.
Also religious people's wont accept it

When I say that police fear black men, I don't mean that in their defense.
