Ummm.. Nothing was made up and that was a completely different person who was going through a divorce. He couldn't handle the confusion of the divorce and juggling a new relationship so he said he didn't want a relationship at the time. I was disappointed and decided to tell him that we should keep our distance for a while. He was hurt by that. I tried to make him feel better but he didn't want to speak about it, so I wanted to know if he would've forgiven me for saying we should keep our distance. There was no anger involved there. So if you want to dig deep and find something out about me, just ask. I'm not a liar like Angry Bird. I'm open and honest.

It doesn't so she proceeds, walking like a bum on the streets because taking a bus home is a foreign concept. When someone doesn't want you somewhere, the only way to go about that is to proceed.

He doesn't return home so she asks a friend for help and spend the night there after drinking and probably engaging in —All men are assholes?? monologues. For most people, night proves to be a good counselor. Not for the OP, whose rage is just beginning to unravel. Guy doesn't want to answer the door and could give less of a fuck about the whole situation. Douchebag behavior aside, he opens the door. Fatal mistake as the OP, slaps him twice and then finishes it with a punch, for good measure. Hey, Christmas is all about sharing and being generous.

6 days go by til she decided to contact him. Not because she actually feels she's in the wrong, as we??ll find out later but during that time, she probably had to ask all of her friends and his friends, just so she can feel entitled as apparently the common consensus is —good for you??. It's still unclear which mob organization these friends belong to.
Next, the guy is painted as a unicorn, which happens several times during the novel. This is the motivating factor for her to press with the contact, if he were a douchebag through and through, she would??n have cared to say the following:

He was always so sweet to me, cook for me, rub my feet, constantly tell me how amazing I am and how much he loves spending time with me. But there were times when he'd say he's not interested in a relationship, he needs to focus on his career. I'd say that's fine with me. Then he'd ask me to come over (not for sex, he never tried) but he'd always want to kiss and hold me and spend time laughing and joking with me. Then I'd go over and hang out with him and he would get mad at me for respecting his wishes and being fine with not wanting a relationship. Thank you! I feel the same way, there's no need for people in this feed to tell me how wrong I was. That's something I already know. I was dead wrong. I expressed that, I many times. But some like to repeat themselves over and over and try to make me feel like I killed someone, while others understand the shock and hurt I went through. Some look at it like I punched someone only because I was stood up. But you see everything that was behind it. You payed attention to the fact that it wasn't just that alone.
