What have you learned ......

.. about signs from being on dxp, actual interacting, that you might not have realized before? We all read the generalizations, so we know the basics .. is there anything you hadn't realized until being in here?

I've learned that out of all the signs, both genders seem to be pretty much the same .. except Scorpio's. The men and women are like night and day.

That Aqua's are the most compassionate people.

Pisces are pretty selfish with their selflessness.

And finally, Leo's ... they seem to be less proud than I orginially thought, and more humbled.

Since you asked...

ARIES - nuttier than I ever imagined, but in a good way!

TAURUS - I knew they were smoldering hot, but the confirmation was nice.

GEMINI - well... they can be trusted after all!

CANCER - I knew they were moody, great to know they realize it, too!

LEO - thanks to Wheelhomies, I find them smarter & wittier than I presupposed (maybe I just didn't "get" my Mom's sense of humor?).

VIRGO - thanks to Brandon, I know I'm not a Sad Sack!

LIBRA - made me rethink my first marriage (dammit!)...

SCORPIO - yeah, they're volatile, but it's not insanity (most of the time).

SAGITTARIUS - affirmed my friendship with the one at work.

CAPRICORN - confirmed my suspicions about these Virgo-wannabee's!

AQUARIUS - even when they're irritating, they're interesting!

PISCES - sweet, slippery, and best left in the waters of de-Nile...

Well, what i've learned when it comes to astrology and here on dxp, is that that you really (can't) judge someone from (just) their sun-sign alone. For me, this would be an injustice and rather naive, and certainly not what true astrology is all about. Sure every sign shares certain base traits, and is fun to talk about. But hopefully most are past viewing someone from only one sun-based angle. This is exactly why a person from a certain sign may get frustrated and feel misunderstood. Also why there are nice, and not so nice people from (every) sign. And to say you don't care about another sign, to me is rather selfish.

There are traits i admire with ALL sun-signs, and i've pretty much had no surprises here on dxp. As far as my own sun-sign goes, damn it is really nice to be a Pisces; wouldn't want it any other way! We are as strong-minded /strong-willed, as we are compassionate, intuitive and dreamy.. A pretty nice combo, in my book. =) And yes, we do have a much better hold on reality than given credit for..

CAPS - A bit like Scorps, seem to have a blend of different things. They say that Pisceans are a combination of all the signs, but I think Scorps and Caps fit that description way better than any fish. Caps are largely likeable, fair and consistent on dxp.

dyar - i had to re-read your response about leos and i've come to the conclusion that you must be referring to another wheelhomies. please point me in his/her direction so that i may reclaim my username.

MsPisces - yes we dooo! yay!

i have learned from dxp that people of different signs are not so different. we all have relationship problems...we have faults. and there are people across the board that have amazing senses of humor. the specifics:

1.)scorpios are not emotionless, even though the ones i know come off like it A LOT.
2.)your sun sign does not predict who you will like, 95% of the time (so basically it just doesn't).
3.)i still think there are patterns in the way people of certain signs act and their conscious/subconscious thoughts...but every individual is different too, and it's ignorant to say "so and so will definitely behave this way because of their sign".
4.)astrology is something that is a personal belief, NOT a science. although people so have the evidence that makes them believe in it, it is still faith based. and most people are highly skeptical of it and don't take it seriously.
5.)there are no "good" and "bad" signs, just people who make good or bad choices.

GEMINI - I'm chasing a Gem (shoot me now!) and I'll admit, reading what the Gem's have to say gave me some insight on how to talk to and understand my gal better. I seriously doubt I'd still be with her without said "insight".

SCORPIO - Had I known what I know now from learning about you scorps, I probably would still be with a scorp I lost a few years ago. If I end up single again, I would LOVE another Scorp to make mine 😛 Lots of love to ya'll

I have learned so much by studying astrology I don't even know where to begin - you begin to learn and understand so much about people (and yourself included) - and the people you know on a personal basis. Astrology becomes habitual ... especially for people that "believe" in this natural phenomenon because in the very least you find yourself trying to either guess a sign or you ask for it and hey! whether people have a deeper understanding or not they will tell you - on some subconscious level everyone knows - "I'm a this" and "I'm a that" .. probably lacking in conviction although the affirmation to the - "I am" is still there. I don't know about any of you but I'm a very recent student in this area maybe two years but I have grasped the ideological content very fast and I had begun to perceive people in a different manner, in a metaphorical sense you would stop painting with long wide strokes - your canvas now has very intricate complexities to it.

How true, it really does become like second nature. You just wanna know. Humans are curious creatures.. Sometimes i guess pretty close; sun, moon/rising, or maybe the correct element. You do get a better feel after a time..

nicely put FD.. (You do want to know more than just sun-sign; astrology of itself is very intricate and even *more interesting and telling the deeper you go.)

Being on dxp didn't teach me so much as it confirmed my prior beliefs. The belief that human beings, on the whole, are pretty stupid.

what did I learn....nothing really. degenerates and good people are not limited to one sign i think. but i am putting down my prejudice against leos though. because i found out that not all leos are jerks like the one i met in high school.

Absolutely, MsPisces .. it's a gift. And because of it, we don't feel taken advantage of or unappreciated when we give completely of ourselves, appropriately.

I just thought it was me .. but, from being in here, I realized it was all Pisces (once matured). When young, we fall prey to giving to just anybody .. once older, we realize that our gift is for special purposes, and not across the board.

Leos that are truly humbled are few.. I admit i've met some myself.. but those prolly have virgo influences.

Now I'm dealing with a silly older leo whom I'm unsure whether to indulge his ego or just shoot him down and get things my way. It seems Leo acquaintances do not necessarily respect the libra's want for compromise - The July leos (hands up, all of yous) are really arrogant ones who have it their way or no way. I prefer the august leos.

My life lesson for now: Learn to bulldoze like a scorpio (I must admit they're GOOD!) not everyone will have a desire for harmony or equality when they mean business. Sad but true!
