Leo woman confused by Cancer man crush!

Hello fellow Astrology fans. I love this site! 🙂 I'm hoping that anyone who is knowledgeable about Cancer males can help me on this one.
For the last 2 months or so I have been slooooowly getting to know this Cancer man, we see each other when we are walking our dogs, he always stops and chats and seems pleased to see me. Just recently we seem to be getting closer, he's asked to join me on walks and we've talked non stop the whole way. I've picked up on his body language: he looks at my mouth a lot, tilts his head when I talk, smiles at nothing in particular, laughs at my silly jokes, approaches me when he sees me at the gym. It was all going so well and I know he's shy so I'm prepared to be patient (not easy for a Leo!)
On tuesday he asked me if I was going to an event at the weekend, I said oh no I can't but I really wanted to go, v sorry. Then the next day he saw me at the gym, walked past me a few times and completely ignored me! I walked up to him and he seemed to be in a hurry to get away. Plus he has stopped walking his dogs at the same time I do. I feel as though he is avoiding me now. Why had he gone into his shell? I feel really hurt and confused about this 😢 I would really appreciate your insight! Many thanks 🙂

Thank you ZelaleZ, that made me laugh! You do have a point, however, my moon is in Cancer and my rising sign is Cancer, which might explain why I am so drawn to him. We have a connection. This doesn't happen often. And now he is avoiding me and I don't know why. I'm crushed 😢

It may not have anything to do with you.

Next time you see him, ask him what's up in terms of not seeing him out with the dogs and the like?

I have a friend who was hurt by a Cancer male and when I told him I liked a Cancer he said RUN! GET AWAY NOW! But i won't listen and i can't let this drop...!
Cancer on the cusp, thank u, us Leos can tend to think everything is about us (!) then we get corrected and that's a good thing! When i next see him, i will ask him. I wont give up hope!

@greeneyedleogirl As a Cancer Male, let me give my take on your lil situation. When the Cancer guy mentioned that concert to you, he was subtitly asking you out on a date. I think he was looking for you to ask him if he wanted to go with you. But since you said no, he felt rejected or sad. Thus him going into his Crab shell. Since he was shy, (im a lil shy myself) you probably made him comfortable around you, so he asked you out in a roundabout way. You gotta be a lil bold/direct with the shy Cancers. The next time, you see him, just wave at him & smile. You can say hey, & that's it. IF he doesn't speak to you after all that, it's best to move on. Just let him be for now ok.

I haven't dated any Leos before, but they may have to have a water moon or venus. But rejection can be a tough pill for us Cancer Males ( The shy ones). So he probably felt bad that he couldn't take you to the Concert tho. So be you, & be nice. If he ignores you again after all that, then move on. I wish you the best 🙂

In this case, just the simple question of "hey, haven't talked to you in a while. How are things?"

And no chasing!

leos love sex das all i can say and they do like the limelight but crushing on a cancer just be prepared to be admired and have lots of sex das all.

Black Indian - thank you for your insight. It makes sense but I had no idea Cancers were so sensitive. I've just read about Cancer emotions and sensitivity and I have to say I'm astounded! I think it's cute but mind boggling!

If you chase, he'll withdraw.
The "hi" thing I mentioned in another post lets him know you're interested, and approachable.
He'll pursue if he's interested, and you'll know it.

Then again, maybe his mother is in town for a long visit.... 😕

She looks happy, however she recently posted on Facebook that she and her husband have nearly separated at one point but they decided to stick it out and she's glad she did.

I think the fire/water communication style is what really makes it frustrating at times.
A more outgoing, communicative Crab is going to get along better with a Leo I think.
And a sensitive, thoughtful Leo will get along better with a Crab.

That's true about the Fire/water thing. Interesting too, because in my opinion, out of all the water signs, Scorpio is Leos absolute best match, and that goes for both genders. However, in my mind, I perfectly can see a Cancer Female with a Leo male but not Leo females with Cancer males. I hope things get better with your cousin and her Cancer husband.

This is her 2nd marriage and she is older now with a kid.
I think she is determined to make this work.

For some reason Cancer male and Sag woman seem to get on very well.
Otherwise fire/water is not an easy match anyway you look at it.
Maybe if they had compatible mercury placements.
