You've figured us out. Congratulations. We just seek security and if you're there...we'll eventually trust you enough to let go of the "odd" patterns of disappearing, reappearing, questioning, suspicion.

It's all about security and trusting you with who they are, what they like to do during their leisure time, who they're closest friends are, family issues. Like it comes off naturally to them not to ask where he's been. If it's not part of your personality to not question someone's absence (because you simply miss this person a lot), then you may get annoyed after a while. I want to be able to express how I feel passionately, but sometimes this comes off as too much for a Cancer, like I expect all these things back, I don't.
