I think you’re being too pushy. No one likes a Pushy Paula. A trip to Mexico is not a first date. Plus that’s more expensive for both of you. Two plane tickets instead of one, hotels, food, drinks, etc. if you go to Chicago from philly, it’s much cheaper and you’d stay at his place I assume. And if he’s a teacher, he can’t take time off for vacations. You’d have to go during his scheduled breaks. It’s only fair to his students.
